Information. Or rather - how easy it is to find stories, answers to questions... books were rare when I was growing up, it had to be all done by hand. My own family only had about three books, and they were our most valuable possessions.
Being able to easily find the answers to questions you might have and to get details on things you only heard of in passing is an amazing thing.
