Adriel holds Sira close and hums a little bit. A tune that Delilah had taught them.

They know what the daemon is talking about. Many people who suffered prayed to angels or God to help them, and sometimes neither could see that person before it was too late. It hurts because Adriel wanted people to be able to live happy lives before they died.

"That's why they can come up here," Adriel says. "I can't take away their sorrows but I can help them be happy."

Even if it means populating this tiny world of theirs with thousands of people to make them happy, Adriel will.
