Tiredness was another factor as well. Not that she was going to admit that.

As Puella got up she was wary about Hector falling down again, and a bit hesitant to take his hand. A kind gesture but it seems that he might need it for balance. Everything about 'Staying on the first step' was making a lot more sense now.

Inside the common room again was a vast improvement - toastier and the lack of more wind. She was probably supposed to go back to her room now that the expedition outside was over, but instead, took a dive on top of the sofa. The same exact one she hid behind earlier. Much comfier than stone steps, that's for sure.
