They don't know if her fairy magic is safe. But there's a lot of things they don't know in this place. She doesn't seem to have made a contract. (Whether she told him she hadn't or if he just hasn't been in a place to ask.) As long as her life isn't bound to some deal destined to turn on her, he doesn't see anything wrong yet.

And for that matter, it still wouldn't mean there was anything wrong with her. He doesn't think he's nice. It's just the understanding she deserves.

He listens to her try to reason it out with herself and to him. He sands down the window side and soon does the same with the empty frame in the wall. He still doesn't know who or what 'Ghost Peter' is but now isn't really the time to ask. Though he can't say her answer makes him happy, it, ultimately, isn't about him. If that's what makes her feel better, then so it's got to be.

There's a small and rueful laugh from him. "Si, I'm going. I'm a TA. Every adult's supposed to supervise. Even the useless ones." He still feels horrid for ruining the plan to catch either her brother or the monster, even if not enough so to regret going along. "And even if I can't stop anything, I wouldn't want to be off, wandering who knows where, if something did happen. So I'm going."

He looks her way, his smile turning warmer. He hopes it's reassuring. "Try not to feel guilty about the dance thing. I'm sure if he could, he would you to use what you learned from, enjoy yourself and the memories. That's what I would want." And he is the dead guy here, so he imagines his words have at least some weight.
