He doesn't mind choosing the dumb thing -- because if he's going to admit it was a choice, then it was an exceptionally dumb one -- when it leads to getting to watch Rex say ridiculous things and his monster reacting in even more ridiculous ways. It's always going to be disgusting and terrifying to him, but in moments like this...yeah. Maybe it's almost cute, too.
