I had not realized there were survivors from her care that escaped the conflict. With how bad the conflict became... I thought surely most of them were killed, went missing, or worse. ...I even heard stories of those she treated being executed. ...And I never did learn the fate of the Rekidonian officer she treated before her death. ...I never got his name.
To think... someone else out there knew. That I had not predicted. Some other family trying to do right by her example, however imperfect they might be. Kindred spirits in that.
