What: Various September things including a... surprisingly big package from home and free food.

Package - Early September
[Normally, Lia doesn't use her Flame ability for frivolous things, but this time, she can definitely, uh, make an exception. Sometime in early September, Lia can be found, in her Mana Drive state, carrying what seems to be an almost comically oversized box into the Lumiere dorm.

Or she's just standing in the elevator with the damn thing, casting an apologetic look at whoever might come in.

Or she's just... out of her transformation and trying to drag the box down the hall of the fourth floor.

Anyone want to lend her a hand?]

Lumiere Dorm - Throughout the month
[Lia is very present around the dorm, whether it's chilling in the common room on her floor, she can be spotted cooking or baking (if you ask nicely, she'll maybe let you have samples), and just... in general milling about if someone wants to flag her down for something. Come bother her!! Say hi!! Drag her into stupid things!! Be alarmed at the goose noises from her Switch!]

Library - Also throughout the month
[Of course, she's not entirely spending her time goofing off--she spends time in the library, surrounded by books. Lots and lots of books. Most of them are runecraft books from the library, but an increasing number end up being books that are... very much not. She seems a little protective over those books specifically... Still, if someone wanders over with the intent to sit, she'll snap to attention and start minimizing the space her stuff takes up.]

Sorry, sorry, got a bit carried away with all these books...

The Cross of Life - Late September
[Tables of free food really aren't a rare sight around campus, are they? Because set up near the Cross of Life is yet another, this one manned by Lia. There's quite the variety available, most of it sweet. Cakes, brownies, cookies... Anyone who approaches gets a wave and a smile.]

[Though she's added some other things to her routine over the past month, the library is still one of the more-common stops that Desidera makes during any given day.

Usually she doesn't pick out too many books at once, but this time she has an entire stack of them, with a few being about more-mundane subjects, but most being about various kinds of magic, some relevant to herself, others not but she wants to read about them anyway. The entire lot of books altogether looks like it should be tough to carry all at once—some of them are thick—but she doesn't seem to be having any real trouble.

When she finally sets them down and takes a seat, she notices the girl next to her scrambling to get her own stuff out of the way.]

Ah? Oh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention, so I didn't really notice this table was mostly taken. [She'd been focused on making sure not to drop anything by accident.]

It's okay, I kind of... spread out more than I meant to.

[She manages to clear enough space for Desidera and offers a sheepish smile.]

Kind of been referencing a lot of books for runes, so... yeah... Oops?

It's fine. I don't normally take up a lot of space, but I picked out more books than normal, this time.

[One of the books in Desi's stack looks like it may be an introduction to runecraft. Her roommate uses runes for a handful of things, so she feels that it'll be in her best interest to work on having at least a basic understanding of the craft without needing to trouble him over it.

She scratches behind an ear, at the spot between it and the base of one of her horns; there's been a little bit of an annoying itch there.]

Let me know if you need me to move, and I will.

[ he keeps trying to stop since he already got a good number earlier, but then he ends up changing his mind and doing a little duo of portals for his grubby hands to get more, one slightly hovering above lia's table, and the other beside where he's seated some feet away. leo...

i mean, so long as he's being a bit annoying about it, he might as well help out the pitch. he waves his arm with a newly yoinked brownie in hand. ]

You heard the lady take them before I end up eating it all! I don't even need to get up to do it!!

[Leo please... But really, if Lia minded, she would've asked him to cut it out by now.

So, you know, the fact that he's still up to this says plenty about how much she actually minds the shenanigans.]

They're here to be eaten, folks! If you want something, you'd better step right up and take it!

At this rate we're gonna have club approval in the bag!

[ nom nom ]

Man, this must've taken you ages.

Yeah, it really did... Not that I mind, though! Cooking's fun, and when people like the end result, it makes them happy. So, totally worth it!

[...]

Plus, helping ourselves to the leftovers is always a plus.

No worries! This should be fine.

[She grins, then turns back to her books for a bit.]

So, just getting interested in runes?

A bit, yes. My roommate uses them, so I want to have at least some understanding of them myself.

[She pauses briefly, then adds on to her response:] We ended up working together during that incident near the end of last month, and the things he can do work rather well with the things I can do, but we're not entirely sure about the other way around, so...

[She nods.]

[With having stated one of her goals with these books, that particular book is, unsurprisingly, the one she starts with. She opens it and glances over the table of contents, then flips a few pages in to the point where she's decided to start.

Some minutes later, she turns her attention away from the book temporarily, glancing back over to Lia.]

Ah, um, please excuse the interruption, but I don't believe we've properly met before now? Mi chiamo Desidera.

[Sure, Lumiere isn't Adelaide's own dorm, but she's got enough friends there she spends quite a bit of time there. She's on her way to visit Maverick when she smells the unmistakable smell of cooking, and she decides to stop by the kitchen.

She's nosy. Sue her.

She pokes her head in, blinking at Lia.]

Oh, hey! [A beat.] Whatcha making?

Oh, Adelaide, hey!

[She beams, putting down what she's doing to wave.]

I'm doing some practice runs for my part in a cooking club pitch. Quiche bites, specifically.

If you really think about it, we can threaten people with happiness. With food. Like paintball with less waste.

... Like that Cloudy Meatballs movie.

[ yeah, he saw it. ] Man, those marshmallows in the second movie were adorable. [ he takes a second to google a gif ] This, is the Cooking Club's future. Except maybe with less taking care of babies. Does Vivi count? Eh.

If that's the future, the future is bright! Somewhat, at least. Probably.

[She'll take Foodimals over Nightfall.]

Cooking club?

[She finally steps into the kitchen, a curious look on her face.]

I haven't heard anything about a cooking club.

I put out an interest check on the network a while back but not a lot of people responded to it... I mean, enough to do the paperwork way of getting a club made did, but now I've learned that one of the ways is having to present the club pitch to a panel of judges like Shark Tank...

[Ah, she's rambling...]

One of the guys helping with the pitch suggested bribing the judges with food, though, so I'm practicing so I can bring my A-game!

Ohh, I must've missed it!

[Shark Tank for clubs...that sounds brutal. Yikes.]

Well, if it gets off the ground, I'd love to join it! Maybe we could consolidate everyone's cooking and stands into an actual bake sale, with club backing...

Oh!

[Her expression brightens a bit and she nods eagerly.]

That's a fantastic idea! We should definitely see about doing that!

If we say it's to raise money for the school, it shouldn't be a problem.

[A pause.]

Not like the school really needs a bake sale...They have so much money.

Rich people schools... It's still a little bewildering, to tell you the truth, even if I've been here for a few months now.

[And the school is so extra...]

Yeah, I've seen the numbers, and it's a scale I wasn't even expecting...

[She kind of feels like a treasurer is unnecessary, when you've got that much money to throw around.]

Ohhhh, that's right, you're treasurer, aren't you?

[She just kind of mentally checked out a little before the student council election results happened... oops.]

Yeah! I get to do all the fun number crunching, now.

[It's fine, it's fine. She asked for this.]

Well, numbers sure beat words. Or speaking in front of people.
