E. A Booth On Campus [ In the afternoon after the first classes but before the banquet, you will find a booth outdoors on campus, manned by James (in his full uniform, described below). The booth is labeled EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE PROGRAM. If you walk up to it, James will helpfully explain. ]
The Experience Exchange program is a student-organized buddy system that we're going to try out for the first time this semester. Our student body is more diverse than any other in the world, so we get a lot of people with vastly different experiences. This program is meant to equalize the common knowledge among students. Classes don't always cover every base, after all. If you've got an area of expertise or an area you know nothing about yet, you're encouraged to sign up! This isn't limited to academic knowledge, by the way. Customs and cultures apply all the same.
[ And if you've decided to sign up, you get to fill out this form:
Name: Age: Year: Areas of Expertise that you're comfortable sharing with people: Areas in which you'd like to improve your knowledge: Additional Notes:
You might hear from James about a new buddy soon.]
A.1 Early Banquet [ James entering the banquet hall is truly a sight to behold. Everyone who's encountered him in the last month should have already grown to anticipate the gust of pink rose petals that heralds his arrival anywhere. But this far, he'd never worn the uniform.
Now, all is changed. James is in full student council attire, looking like a nobleman with gold epaulets, his pink sash, his sword and... he's also floating. The floating is fairly normal for him, to be fair, but it's effect is definitely enhanced by the formal look. James' expression meanwhile is stony and duty-bound. So many eyes are on him and he's not sure if he should feel proud of embarrassed. ]
A.2 After Banquet [ James' ridiculously flashy appearance will also greet you when you go to leave the hall after the feast. This time, he's smiling, trying to give a friendly nod to as many people as possible. ]
Please enjoy your semester and don't hesitate to contact the Student Council if there's any trouble. We're here for you.
