Heaven or Hell - Let's rock the classrooms!
Who: Ky Kiske, open
Where: Mythril Cage, Classrooms, etc.
What: Class time
When: throughout November.
A - Draw your weapons!
[With the added interest - and need to learn with the proliferation of magic swords, Ky has made what was private tutoring into a full on class for anyone wishing to learn the art of the sword. For the absolute beginners, he's showing them how to properly hold the weapon, sending them to practicing swings and stabs, correcting their posture. Those with more experience as sent to either spar with students of roughly equal skill, spar with Ky himself, or made to exercise more advanced techniques.
During a break, the man draws the students' attention, letting them catch a breath, as he drops a long coat, a harness, duffle bag, a lacrosse stick bag, and a hollowed out cane onto the table]
Let's speak of more practical things - concealment. In most countries, carrying a large blade or a sword is illegal at worst, and attention-drawing at best. [Something he had to learn the hard way]
Normally that is not an issue given the nature of many of our missions, but when there are city hunts, or needing to pass through... well. Let's try a few things. I brought a few common items for non-magical concealment for everyone to try and see what works best.
First, it has to be something that won't draw too much attention, Secondly, you must be able to take your sword out quickly should you find yourself in danger. And Thirdly, is it comfortable? Take those factors into consideration when you're looking for a means of concealing a weapon.
[With that, he'll leave it to the students to try different methods, he'll answer any questions, or if someone already got an idea of what to do, it's a good time to ask for a one-on-one lesson or spar]
B. Castling
[Ky can be seen taking books from the library, and later he's either in one of the teacher's lounges, or in his office, pouring over a large copy of the floor plan of the Academy and it's surrounding grounds, making marks on certain parts, before leaning back, taking in the entire thing before flipping through the books on wards and seals]
Let's see if here - and here... then if.
[The man rubs his temples]
I need to get someone more experienced with wards on this.
C. Tea Time
[Ky is a regular fixture at the local tea shop in Soleil, normally he would simply come in, find an eye-catching cup and leave after a purchase, but today - he's been coaxed to linger due to the unusually cold winds blowing through town today. He warms his hands around a cup of rose and blood orange tea. He pauses as a strand of his waist-length hair nearly fell into his cup, pushing it back with annoyance, but if he sees someone from the Academy enter, he brightens and waves them over to join him]

My apologies for the interruption. Are we expecting another intrusion?
no subject
No, nothing of the sort - it's a preventive measure, so we're not caught unawares again.

Tell me, Mr Kiske, have you ever considered hairties? [ His tone is amused. ] They might help you avoid future near-misses like the one you just had.
Re: c
I had, but they tend to slip out, or I just forget to. Hair's not something I really think much of... despite how much I have.

If you don't take better care of it, I'm going to have to intervene, you know. Besides, leaving it loose like that surely impedes you in combat?
