[The mists have been frankly spooky so far. Too many familiar faces that have been quite emotionally draining, even scary. He's kept his weapon at the ready most of the time he's been in the mists, and reflexively, his grip tightens when he sees movement out of the corner of his eye.
He swung around, but didn't immediately raise his weapon as the figure emerged from the mists.
Immediately, he was glad that he didn't, but he practically did a double-take at her. He instantly could tell who it was, and yet the differences between this vision and the original were apparent immediately. He'd seen Desidera with her hair down before, in their room, but she never left the room without her twintails. ...And those horns...
...The sight didn't scare him; rather, it may have been the most disarming thing he's seen all day. But for once, he wasn't immediately worried about being ambushed or having to take care of a wayward child.]
