[I don't think he thought he was important enough to write about. He doesn't know much about Grimm. He doesn't know enough to determine whether that's the normal thought process for him or if it genuinely didn't cross his mind. But in the end, it doesn't matter. It's a statement that brings his expression to twist and he's got to look away from Alderic for a moment before he can get that under control.
