"Ahhh...yes, well..." That wasn't quite what he was saying Jolyne but he won't push. Instead he beams as Giorno speaks- "Oh! Italian! My hamon master was Italian!" He exclaims, the statement no doubt familiar to Jolyne after Christmas holidays. At the very least, he has the sense not to follow the tangent though. Instead, after a brief pause to look at Gold Experience- goodness he can practically Feel the energy radiating from them, uncanny- he focuses on the photo.
"Ahh..." And there it is. There...he is, sort of. "...It is...strange, I must confess. Not you being here- rather, not in the way I am saying- simply..." He frowns, not entirely fond of how tonguetied he's getting. He's normally much better at speaking, to be frank.
"...Before I died, he had been so desperate you see. He was only a head- and he had his eyes quite set on me. He had determined, apparently, that as the one who had driven him to that point it was only proper. I...suppose I understood he had to have succeeded, with what the Speedwagon foundation explained but..." He traces a claw along the scar in the photo, grimacing. "...it is so very strange, to see that he had evidence..."
Ah. He is getting ahead of himself. He looks up to Giorno. "...Before I explain more however...it seems that there is a more important matter at hand indeed. I had suspected when I read Jolyne's message of course- but now at the least, I can be quite certain. I...cannot imagine how strange it must be from your own position. Indeed...if you would prefer distance, I more than understand. But that mark is a mark my family has carried across all our backs- and while it is hardly how I expected to meet any relatives, that is without a doubt the same for you. I..." The bat seems nervous- but presses on. "Dio was certainly in possesion of my body. But that does not change the blood that flowed within. And for that, I would like to apologize...I could not be there for the son I left behind with my wife- but I did not realize, that I would fail to be there for yet another as well. But if you would have me, then...I should like to be there now, if that is acceptable."
