Field trip! Field trip!
Who: Avery, OTA
What: Class trips to witness Outlands law! With prompts that can be for mingle-age as well.
When: Several points throughout January
Where: The Outlands, Avery's office
Warning: Blood, violence in some prompts and threads, shenanigans.
At the beginning of the month, students will be given a packet detailing the various class trips Avery has planned for the month, along with a couple sign up sheets to be filled out and submitted to a box just outside his office.
All students are urged to have their professors sign off if they will be missing their class in favor of the trip, but Avery isn't going to be looking out for the notes. Those who do submit them, however, will get an extra point or two of extra credit for remembering the golden rule: CYA.
First Trip: The Toad of Fortune
No restrictions on who can come for this one. No mock trial will be had afterward.
Second Trip: Trial by Loser
Humans must be 13 or older. Mock trial will be held afterward in the Mythril Cage "because I find it funny."
Third Trip: The Dark Assembly
Humans must be 16 or older or have a permission slip signed by three members of faculty to attend. This one he will be checking for. All those attending are encouraged to be competent in combat or healing.
A mock trial will be held onsite only for those skilled in combat.

[To be fair, he wanted to bring popcorn with, but it was banned, and he has too much respect for the law in general to try and get around that.]

[Give him the Wild law, not boring stuff that makes people cry into textbooks as they contemplate drinking themselves into oblivion!
He's done enough of that since coming to this school!]no subject
You just don't appreciate the art of it all. It's like a big game of chess, kid, where you outsmart and run circles around the other side until they cry Uncle.

Looks more like two idiots screaming "uncle" while they put their hands over their ears so they can pretend they can't hear the other person, at the moment...
[Not that he's complaining. This is still funny.]
You sound so up your own ass, though. Fucking ridiculous.

[He puts his chin in his hand]
What, a guy can't be proud of his chosen profession?
no subject
Awh, don't be sad. I'm just talking shit. That's my chosen profession. Ain't my fault you're embarrassingly easy to take digs at, really, I'm just exploitin' the fact. I got respect for alright lawyers.

[He smirks]
But that's fair enough, I suppose. If you want something done, make sure to do it right. Surprised you haven't taken me up on any of my extra credit assignments yet.
no subject
[He's been dunking on Avery since he got here, really... Oops.]
I tried to do one once but you were all "wehh you aren't in my class". Like I'd give you the satisfaction now...
no subject
That was just the extra credit part. I never said anything about holding back kudos for getting it done.
Besides, isn't the result a reward in itself?
no subject
I'm trying to remember what the fuck my extra credit proposal even was. I think the plan was to get you to make weird faces during an eating contest? I dunno.
no subject
[even if that's not what Maverick thought he was doing]
An attempt to beat me in an eating contest for a better grade. Ms. Inoue chose something similar.

[Not having been in Avery's class at the time, this really should go without saying. He'll have noticed by now that Maverick does pretty well for himself in terms of academics, anyway.]
