Out of Body, Out of Mind
Who: Urtz and those who signed up here!
What: Part 1 of the possession plot
When: Backdated to the last week of March
Where: The secret passageways beneath the school
Warning: Blood, body horror, possession, violence, etc.
[After receiving Héctor's message, Urtz could already feel the control over her body loosening. It took everything she had to make her way down to the hidden passageways of the school. Her magic was almost out of control by this point, more akin to feycraft than the more "refined" version of magic human's had utilized. But she managed to erect several barriers amongst the random and often destructive other effects. That way she wouldn't hurt anyone. Her last act of control was informing those close to her, or whom she had a positive opinion of, the situation at had. Several words were shortened or misspelled, as if she had been mashing the keys desperately, but the message was sent. Her arm lashed out, throwing the device against the wall and causing it to immediately shatter while a visible dent was left.]
That's quite enough.
[A sharp pain tore at the insides of her skull, forcing her down to one knee as she griped her head, as if trying to claw someone out of it.]
You don't need to do thi-!
Oh, but I think I DO.
[At this point she could feel and almost physical force ripping control out of her grasp. She tried her best to fight against it, but she couldn't gain the upper hand. Slowly her fine motor functions were taken over completely by something else. A familiar presence, one that once acted as a warming aura of comfort now burned like a white hot flame. Her consciousness slowly began to fade, her last thoughts occupied by nothing but hope.]
[Tracking "Urtz" isn't exactly an easy task. Of course, this almost makes it difficult for her to escape. The passageways can often feel like a maze and various magical traps have been constructed to throw others off her tail. Many of the exits have been sealed off by Urtz, both to keep everyone but those who can undo the seals out and her in. A fact that frustrates her to no end. Every second she wastes trying to get out of her is a second those pests have to find her and stop her. Seconds turn into minutes, which turn into hours, yet she's no closer to finding a way out of this maze. Every so often she feels Urtz clawing at her soul, trying to force her out, which wastes precious time if nothing else.
Time that eventually runs out. She feels several presences heading towards her position. Running isn't an option, she can tell that easily enough thanks to Urtz's memories, so fighting is her only way out of this. When they do approach, the begin they see before them isn't Urtz. Not any more. her body is roughly the same shape and her soul is still in there, but it's being overpowered by something else. One icy blue eye peaks out from its owner's messy blonde hair. The other eye is just sunken-in blotches with small pools of white floating around inside. Parts of her skin looks to be falling off, revealing the muscle underneath, before retreating back into her flesh to repeat the process over and over again. Despite the nature of Urtz's body, however, a strong amount of magic is radiating off her body even as two souls rage against each other inside.]
And here I thought today couldn't get any worse.
["Urtz" says this with a sneer, her one good eye narrowing as the others continue to float around in her head unfocused.]

Sleeping gas? ...Oh. Shit. [Foul mouth, but who cares. That was... disturbingly close, he realizes now. Plain old gas, probably not magical at all. God.] No, I didn't know. Guess I do now.
[Ah, there's that special word again... some of the tension bleeds out of him.] Better. Thanks.

[Well, "nonmagical" isn't quite accurate, at least.]
Good news is, the formula's safer than anything out there on the market, since I mix 'em up special. Don't gotta worry about overdoses or nasty side effects.
[The base of the formula is actually one Ekkehardt might recognize- a very, very old alchemical recipe meant to bring dreamless sleep, combined with one to cure common poisons. The rest... well, that's where she got creative.]
Bad news is it ain't exactly something you oughtta be flying under the influence of. We're all real lucky you landed first, 'stead of dropping midair.
[Plummeting from flying height... the only good news is that you'd probably be too asleep to feel how many bones you'd break.]

...So is it safe for me to change back now? [Because here he is, human in front of a load of people who haven't seen him this way before, and he is very, very tense. Also could use a few good meals, it looks like.]

He notes the skinniness - he should encourage the boy to talk to him more, if only so he can get him to eat - but he has no reaction otherwise. ]

Gracias, Ekkehardt. And you, Tobias, don't scare me like that with putting off your safety. Go on and change back.
[He waits for the boy to do so, even offering his arm, if Tobias wants the perch that is, before he's heading back to Urtz. Because really, Urtz is probably having it a lot rougher.]
You going to be alright, amiga?
no subject
Sorry, dude. [He says again, before he loses his vocal cords.] I had no idea it'd hit me that bad. Gas isn't, uh, something I'd considered before. [And when he's finished, sure, he'll take an arm seat. See if Urtz is doing okay, check on her shoulder... that's his fault too.]

Suffice to say this whole thing took a lot out of her. Of course the most telling is probably that it took a couple of seconds for her to return Jail's affection. But she does, nuzzling her forehead's against the other woman and weakly wrapping an arm around her waist to hold her close. To make sure this is all real.]
...eventually, Mister Rivera. A lot happened and I'm going to need time to recover. Then there's actually coming to terms with what transpired here.
[Her voice seems calm, almost normal. To those who don't know her that well, it seems like her usual cadence. But to those that do or who are particularly observant, there's a slight crack as she speaks.]

[ He sounds like his usual self, and he almost is, except for the slight waver to his voice, the only clear crack in his composure.
He lets his magic flow into Urtz, encouraging her injuries to heal and her body to come together. He's treated her before, at least, so he doesn't have to do any guessing on that front. ]

I'll camp out with you until the doc gives you the all-clear. Literally. I'm gonna bring a sleeping bag and marshmallows.
[She won't actually start a campfire in the medical wing but that's as far as she'll concede.]

[She's tempted to add on a "you should know that", but she keeps it to herself. She's known Ekke long enough to read him much better than most. The waver in his voice is like a flashing light that lets her know how he feels. He's worried about her. It's comforting, really, though she does wish he'd verbalize it a bit differently. But in the end, she's just happy he's here. She's grateful to everyone who came to help. Guess Héctor really is her friend after all.
Also Tobias should probably get some extra credit for this.]
That does sound nice. [She smiles at Jail, slowly raising her other arm up to hug her properly.] It's been years since the last time we camped out together.
[Her wounds start to heal faster, with the transfer of magic, before picking up and healing even faster than they normally would. That's...definitely new. Most likely a byproduct of absorbing Annabelle's soul fragment.]

It's a softer moment. He feels a bit like he's invading now, which makes him laugh.]
Guess I'll postpone any impromptu musical visits and let you two have your time.
[He glances at the group.]
Do any one of you need a hand with getting to the infirmary?
