Who: Ilargia & You!
When: May
Where: Various spots around campus!
What: Ilargia attempts to keep busy, with varying degrees of success.
Warnings: None, probably.
the library;
[It’s not unusual to find Ilargia in the library. They’ve frequented it since their arrival at Daybreak, taking advantage of the information offered to them. Reading wasn’t something that came naturally to Ilargia, unfortunately, being that their knowledge of written languages was thousands of years out of date. Still, they’re stubborn, and they have charms to read the books out to them for when the words are just too difficult.
They’re drawn to history and mythology books more than anything else. Part of it is to learn what they could have never known from their cage, and part of it is an odd hope that maybe, just maybe, some author knew about them. They want to know what people have to say about them, what history would have remembered them as, but…]
It’s like they’ve taken an eraser to the truth.
[A grumble to themself, as they flip through the pages of a book on ancient gods. They’re not too happy about it.]
the mythril cage;
[Ilargia wasn’t much for training, before...well. Before all of this. They had no means to train when they were bound, and before that they had been so much more powerful than anything else that there was no point to training. Nothing could have stopped them.
Except, of course, that had turned out to be untrue. Things could definitely stop them, and they were aware of their limitations very intimately. They needed to be stronger, if they wanted to be worse than Nightfall.
They stand, surrounded by enchanted training dummies. The dummies hold weapons, but Ilargia is unarmed. They flick their wrist and the dummies spring into motion - Ilargia stays still, but from the shadows of the dummies spring vicious tendrils that bind them in place and rend them to pieces. Their job done, the tendrils retreat and the dummy pieces begin to inch together, slowly reforming,
Ilargia frowns.]
Not good enough.
the dorms;
[They are perched on one of the couches in the common room, and perched is definitely the word for it. They are resting on their heels on the arm of the couch, knees to their chest as they stare intently at the TV. It’s playing some sort of nature documentary, detailing the life of some sort of crab.
Ilargia looks both parts confused and fascinated, as they stare down at the TV with killer intent. If they notice you enter the room, they look up.]
What is the point of all of this?
[And no, they do not specify what they mean by that.]
wildcard;
[Ilargia can be found just about anywhere on campus, and can be doing just about anything. Feel free to throw something at me, or hit me up at
daintily on in the Disco!]

B
It's a moment later that she hears Ilargia saying that it isn't enough, which to her carries an implication that whatever they were trying to do, they were about to try it again. Though this is one of the times she's usually here, Desi isn't sure if she wants to really interrupt things, so for the moment, she keeps herself out of the way, maintaining a respectable distance but ready to shield herself just in case.]

[Unfortunately, if she thought she was going to go ignored... That's not the case. Ilargia doesn't turn to address the girl, but, well.
It's obvious they know she's there.]

Ah, sorry, I usually come here at this time to do a bit of practicing, myself. I don't want to get in the way, though, so I could wait until you're done.
no subject
[What does that even mean...
Ilargia finally turns to Desi, eyeing her.]
Tell me, what are you capable of?

[In the split-second before it actually happens, Ilargia might notice that something is happening the shadows behind them, and that it's obviously not their own doing. Should they turn again to look, they'll see that what follows is the training dummies being abruptly held in place by their own shadows, grabbed at, pulled down and pinned rather harshly, and then torn apart a second time as the shadow-construct bindings force their way through the dummies to once again retreat into the floor where they belong.
How much of that little display had she seen when she was walking in, really?]
I can also do that, among other things. [Here in the Cage, there's only ever a need for offensive or defensive applications of her ability. Elsewhere, though, it's also found a number of mundane uses.]
