Case 5
Who: Sherlock Holmes, open
What: Summer's hell for Vampires
When: Early June
Where: Campus
A. A buzzing distraction?
[The Root of Yggdrasil seems like an odd place to find a Vampire, but since the dreadful incident with his sire, he's been looking for more distractions. And overnight, someone has set up a hive, which slowly buzzes with life as someone cleaned and transferred bees from a dresser drawer into it.
Then one day, Sherlock can be seen in the afternoon, watching the bees go about their business with a sketch pad, drawing them with a happy little smile, upon hearing a sound he glances up]
Ah, hello. Don't worry, they're honeybees - they won't bother you if you leave their hive alone.
B. Tutoring and Busywork
[There are of course last-minute tests and those who have to make up work due to reasons due to circumstances beyond their control, so the TA is assisting in the afternoons and evening in the Library or one of the labs depending on the subject, setting up supplies.
Or alternatively, he's running errands for the professors, getting documents dropped off, making sure the lab equipment is safe, and other things during the afternoons and evenings - though half the time he's delayed, getting distracted by something or the other, thankfully most of these things aren't time-sensitive... right?]
C. Vuelvo al Sur
[On Lumiere's roof, on a clear night, the detective has taken to playing music. A tango piece seems to be what he chose together, swaying under the moonlight, playing late into the evening, pausing if he senses someone coming]
D. Wildcard?

D. Wildcard?
A
The hive... the hive is new. She's keeping her distance, but she's eyeing it with caution and curiosity.]
... Honeybees, you say?
[Her eyes light up a little at the prospect for what might be fairly obvious reasons, given the club she's in charge of.]
cw: off-handed drug reference?
[He sets the pencil down]
It may take a few months for them to produce enough honey to harvest, though depending on how productive they are... honeycombs should only take about a week... there was more in that drawer, but I did not trust it to be clean.
[Especially it was near some marijuana plants someone had been growing in secret]

[She claps delightedly. After a moment though, she pauses and frowns thoughtfully.]
A hive in a dresser drawer though... who would even... Actually, on second thought, I'm not sure I want an answer to that question.
no subject
[He chuckles a bit]
To be honest - it does sound like something I might've done in one of my moods a hundred years ago.
D but with hints of B
I blame you for my reduced hours sherlock
[Along with a picture of a very groggy-looking moriarty, head down among piles of ungraded papers, because he never stops teaching ever even over the summer.]
I also blame the curvature of the earth and the damned sun
no subject
Be glad we are not in Norway.
no subject
[There's the impression that he just did this just to whine.]
Don't give me that by the way this is terrible as is
no subject
[He leans against the wall]
It's making me so scatterbrained. Can't keep focus in the summer.
no subject
[WHIIIINE]
I have already blamed the sun, and I refuse to blame a man who no longer unlives. I am waking up at 3-4pm in the afternoon instead of the normal 1-2, and that hasn't happened in
literal decades?
I assume it is because we're in such close proximity now.
no subject
I don't think chugging down energy drinks would help with that.
no subject
[He is in the blursed state of 'tired but completely amped up'. God rest his soul, and sorry about the bleedover through the link.]
no subject
That would actually explain why I'm so scattered-brained.
no subject
[Lmao he's sure as fuck not apologizing.]
Regardless, I'm hoping the feeling lets up soon. I would like to finish my grading before night, at the very least.

Sherlock will notice the end of a whip snapping around a roofing bracket before Kokoro drags herself up the side of the building. She stops when she sees him, hanging halfway off the roof.]
...oh. Well, it's good you aren't an intruder.
[She sighs and pulls herself up.]
Re: c
Good evening, Miss Belmont.
[He settles against the fence]
I would ask what sort of intruder would be playing at this time of night, but this is Daybreak.
no subject
One never knows. But why the roof? I suppose the music rooms would be closed...

B even though there's no Bees this is a Crime,
Ah! Arthur! [he calls, chasing after the other.] I've been meaning to catch you- though it appears you're still quite busy...
no subject
Ah, Jonathan. Is there something I can do? Don't worry, this isn't exactly urgent business.
no subject
Just what has had you so busy, if I might ask?
no subject
[At the mention of tea, his lips quirked]
I would like that... I should be done in about half an hour.
no subject
Wonderful then! Do you mind if I follow along for a bit? I'm rather curious about what the summer courses will entail.
[Even if it's probably just a bunch more math.]
no subject
[Even if he's spacing out because of their shared link]
I don't mind, it isn't exactly exciting, mostly just coping syllabuses and getting supplies.
[Honestly really beneath him, but that's part of the job]
