Desi's New Normal, only posted about a month and a half later than it should have been

Who: Desidera and anyone
What: the new usual (A), the other usual (B), wildcard (C)
Where: Mithril Cage (A), Hall of Pythia (B), anywhere (C)
When: October.
Warnings: To be added if anything comes up.

A: (Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Mithril Cage, open)
[Desidera still makes a point of regularly going to the Cage in the mornings, three times a week. Now, however, things are a bit different; on two of those three days, instead of going alone, she's accompanied by some students that had agreed to come along with her, and instead of the sessions being her practicing her own stuff, more-recently she's started supervising some students from Valvatorez's Dark Magic classes that are fine with having some things overseen by another student rather than any teacher. (Valvatorez told them all that it would be okay, and he takes his classes very seriously, so that means there's no problem here, right?)

It isn't too many of them right now, but that's fine.

Most of these sessions, while she's still relatively new to this whole tutoring business, are her letting the other students try to do whatever they're comfortable with attempting for now. She occasionally stops one or more of them at a time whenever things start to look too risky, or to ask questions about the specific things they're attempting, and in both cases also to offer advice.

Any other students, or any teachers, will see this instead of Desi's old practice routines, if they happen to wander into the Cage around the same time. Any that had noticed her presence back during the August In-Service might have expected for her to start doing this.]

B: (in general, Hall of Pythia, open)
[Yep, Desi's still occasionally in the library. This time around, however, there really isn't anything important that she's reading up on; right now she's in the middle of a generic fantasy novel that may or may not have been (and probably was) inspired by things that had actually happened at some point in the past (or is even just a straight retelling of those things, framed as though they took place within someone's fictional fantasy world). It looks like the semi-usual library visits have turned into a little bit more of a way to get some quiet time without immediately just retreating back to her dorm room (though she does still spend a fair bit of time there, refusing to leave Monarch alone for too long).

She's mostly minding her own business while she's here, though she does momentarily look up whenever she hears anyone nearby.]

[And by chance, Valvatorez made his way into the library, doubtlessly in search of something that was missing from his own collection of books in his office. Broad as it was, it was far from the more complete collection the library had. But here he was, walking past the reading area with a couple of books on marine biology and oddly, history. For once, there appear to be no grimoires or magical tomes in his stack as he passes by.]

Oh hello, Desidera. What brings you here today? A thrilling page-turner?

Oh, doing a little bit of review for next semester's classes. Experienced as I am, research and freshening up information is important to maintaining quality instruction.

[He raises an eyebrow a bit at the book she was reading; a fiction yarn for sure. An approving nod came next.]

But it's good to see students indulging in reading for leisure. What's that one about?

Ah yes, such things often move pointedly slowly, particularly if there has to be plenty of worldbuilding in the process.

Haven't really had time to read too many books for leisure as late. Let me know if you like that one, maybe I can put it on a list. ...As long as it doesn't turn out to be an insipid vampire romance novel.

...I swear, the number of times I've been asked dumb questions about sparkling...

That's right, we do not. The only time I ever sparkled was when Jailbreak left a glitter bomb in my desk on April Fools that one time. And I wasn't the only one!

Honestly, I know the Veil prevented the spread of fact, but even people who should've known better asked about that.
