[December]
Who: Katida and anyone.
What: getting settled (A), wandering around (B), what the heck's an internet (C)
Where: Lumière 2F (A), wherever (B), Network (C)
When: Early/mid-December.
Warnings: To be added if anything comes up.
A: (Lumière 2nd Floor)
[As a new student of the academy, Katida had been given a map of the campus and a schedule telling her where she was supposed to be and when for the classes that she was to be a part of. With how she came from the other side, though, she was also told that it was fine to take a little time to get used to things before she would be expected to start following that schedule—though it was certainly fine if she wanted to throw herself into things sooner than that.
She had also been assigned a room in one of the dormitories—specifically, Lumière 202—which she supposed was reasonable enough; it probably wouldn't do very well for the academy to require everyone to find or make their own arrangements for someplace that they could stay. When she went to see what the room was like, the first thing that she noticed was that it looked as though she would be sharing it with someone else, what with how there were already various things sitting about. She would have preferred having a room all to herself, but that was fine; not only did she think herself not in a position to argue, she didn't have much in the way of belongings so the room's clearly-unused bed and the desk standing below it would be enough space for now.
After spending a bit of time in the room getting some of her less-important things put away—the more-important things were still kept on her person—she wandered out into the common area of the floor she was on, taking note of what was where for a few moments before finally deciding to just go sit down for awhile; she needed to be off of her feet for a bit.]
B: (wherever else, this is a wildcard option for anyone that wants to bump into her)
[Sometime later, she leaves the dorm building and begins just wandering to get accustomed to what is where, periodically checking that map she was given to make sure she doesn't get herself lost. There are no specific places that she deliberately aims for, she simply goes from place to place without any particular purpose but to see those places. As such, any place that she isn't expressly forbidden or otherwise prevented from entering, she'll end up there at some point.]
C: (on the network, UN: Stelara)
psrt.
[Have you ever just randomly posted some bit of nonsense because you have absolutely no idea what you're doing?]

It's quiet enough for a little while, letting Katida have her time to unpack and settle in. But the, inevitably, like the iconic stampede in that movie about lions, there comes the sound racing footsteps and laughter.
The door doesn't swing open. Instead, a transparent boy with a glowing skeleton runs straight through the wall.]
Whoa!
[Not expecting anyone on the other side, the boy becomes solid just in time to crash to the floor. He peers up from the floor, a tangle of limbs upside down.]
...Hi.
no subject
This...was not how she expected to meet her roommate.
Though his arrival was a surprise, she tries not to let it show, instead glancing down at him for a moment before tentatively offering a hand to help pull him up, if he'll take it. (The hat-shaped thing on her head glances down as well, with its red eyes giving a wide-eyed stare.)]
Hello.
no subject
He takes the hand she offers and untangles himself, rising up. It's only then that he notices that the hat, too, is staring.]
Uh... is your hat supposed to be alive...?
[Wait. That's not what he should be asking. Is it? Oh Well. He takes in the girl's things on the opposite side of the room.]
Are you staying here?
no subject
Something like that. [She has no desire to go into any real explanation right now, so hopefully he'll be content with that much for a response. ...Then he goes and asks his second question, so there would have been little time to continue with answering the first before being interrupted, anyway.]
This is the room that they assigned to me, so yes, if that's acceptable. [The belongings that she's placed onto her desk are a small collection of tomes and a bag of various trinkets; mage things by the look of some of them. Those also appear to account for the majority of what she's brought with her, perhaps suggesting that she doesn't have terribly much to her name beyond them.] I can go ask to be placed elsewhere if it isn't.
[There's a short pause before she realizes that she's forgetting something.]
... My name. It's Katida.
no subject
He does frown at her vague dismissal of an explanation, but that soon turns to confusion, then--]
Wait. Are you asking me if it's okay that you're here?
[He looks utterly bewildered. Then amused.]
Of course, it's fine! Having a roommate sounds cool! I'll try not to be too annoying or anything.
[Seeing as it usually is him that's the first to be sent out on his way.
He sticks out his hand.]
Everyone calls me Teto. Mucho Gusto, Katida.
no subject
She takes that hand when it's offered; there's no reason not to.]
no subject
[He gives her hand a shake and lets go.]
no subject
Even so, I think I should be the one telling you what you just told me; I'll try not to be a nuisance.
no subject
[He states, not knowing anything at all.]
But, one of my old fosters said it's good to ask if a roommate has any rules and stuff. I play guitar sometimes. Is that okay?
