With the call for aid for the advent of the Suneater, the Academy has become one of the many operational centers around the world. The school while never having been quiet by any measure is now buzzing with extra traffic as those from all walks of life and not-quite-life gathered, preparing to literally fight for the sake of the world.

Whether the added souls were new to the supernatural, old faculty and students returning to the fold, or even legends whispered of in hush voices by those in the know, all are welcomed with open arms, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere despite the grim purpose of their visit.

A. Team-Build Exercises
To help with coordinating for the massive undertaking, team-building measures have been enacted, from trust falls to tag-team spars and even trivia bowls. Everything is designed to bring the disparate groups together to build trust and understanding...with varying results.

B. Breaking Bread
With the increase number of people needing to eat, the kitchen under the helm of Chef Hendersen aka Professor Bigfoot has been bringing out food from all corners of the world and the outlands - to make people feel at home - and for the daring to try the far more exotic fare such as Baatzou Surprise or Cumulus Puff from Celestia. And as it turns out - a speciality for the adults, they found some Ambrosia - drink and be merry.

C. Shop Talk
With the experience and wisdom of all sorts of trades and specialities being brought together, it’s only natural to want to exchange information and see what new innovations or experiments has been underway, or to get into impromptu competitions over whose ideas, spells or artifice will work better, especially if there’s money or bragging rights to be had.

[ Those who are more magically inclined will probably sense this new instructor's arrival some moments before he actually shows up physically to any location. Glory radiates magical power like a small sun, a rejuvenating, crackling energy that feels like constant overgrowth. Wherever he is, it's easy to tell; this is not a being of stealth.

He can be found cheerfully holding practical lessons on combat magic in the Mythril Cage, or simply wandering around the greener areas of campus, apparently drinking in sunlight. Wherever he goes, plant life tends to become much, much more active around him.

And whoever decides to approach him will get a friendly grin and an equally-friendly greeting. ]

Well, hello there! Can I be of help at all?

[It's honestly kind of impressive, the magical power coming off of Glory. It's enough to make Epel look pretty excited as he approaches.]

Hello! You're the one who's holding the lessons on combat magic, right?

That I am! [ He grins brightly, if such a thing is even possible for a skull. Somehow he manages. ] Were you int'rested in taking a class, or are you just lookin'?

[Somehow... Epel gives a bright smile back, looking eager.]

I'm interested in taking a class, yes!

Excellent. [ He stretches his arms, palms outward. ] If I might ask, how physically fit would y'think yourself to be?

Definitely pretty fit! Before I came here, I spent most of my time helping out at my family's orchard.

[He might look rather delicate, but he's surprisingly strong!]

Well-experienced, then!

[ He raises a hand, and then clenches it into a fist. The flow of power around him begins to shift, concentrating into that small point. ]

And how much experience d'you have at usin' your magic to fight with? If you could give me a little demonstration, that'd be best, but anythin' you're comfortable with will do.

[New arrivals always meant a fair amount of stalking; it's tradition. But she did stop eventually to watch the plants move, grow greener and vibrate slightly. ...Interesting.]

[She hadn't been doing a good job at staying hidden either, so instead she looked up with a long pause.] ...Not really.

[ He crouches down to be on her level. Given that he's at least six feet, and towers over most normal people, this is probably a good thing. ] Just sightseein', then?

You don't seem real surprised. Not your first time seein' a walking bonepile?

I got friends like that! They don't always look that way though...

I think it's pretty cool.

[And she stares at him, for awhile. Eventually tilting head to one side.]

...I think you got something stuck in your eye.

[It's only after a full, busy day in the Mythril Cage does Adell catch up with Glory outside. The sun is bright in the sky, though threatening to set soon, and the air is cold, but... it's still a nice enough day. And the way the plants around him seem to spring to life and grow, it was clear that he was probably thinking the same thing.

He jogged up to Glory, the excitement and brightness in his eyes illustrating just how crazy his day has been and how thrilled his battle maniac side has been today.]

Glory! Hey, you were right, dude! It was a great idea to come here.

Adell! Don't you look like you're enjoyin' yourself! [ He extends his closed fist for a fistbump. ] Things are movin' awful fast here, now that everyone's got a nice, big target in mind. You found some good partners to test your skills against?

[There is not a moment's hesitation in the daemon returning the fistbump enthusiastically.]

You bet I did. Lot of 'em are tough as hell. Didn't lose a match, but it's not the ones looking to jump in to prove themselves that you have to watch out for. Some of the students and faculty that keep a lower profile have that look in their eye, you know?

The ones that don't have anything to prove. Bet some of them could've taken down Overlord Zenon too.

Oh, ain't no doubt. You always gotta keep an eye on those ones. Good thing they're on our side!

It's been a while, ain't it? You mind tellin' me what you've been up to lately? Haven't had the chance to check in with you, more's the pity.
