EGG BABY DAYCARE

[ It's that time of year for mandatory health classes, and with it comes an assignment courtesy of certain Tamer organisations who are having trouble keeping up with a surprising abundance of eggs.

Thus, it falls to Daybreak's intrepid students to help their allies out with this sudden and surprisingly well-timed crisis - by caring for these eggs until they can safely hatch. Each egg has its own specific needs, mercifully detailed in their care sheet...though some have more interesting requirements than others.

Have fun with your eggs, kids. You can always bother the medical staff if you really need help (or, failing that, any staff on hand, regardless if they have any advice for you on childrearing or not.) ]

It takes long?

I would assume so. Anything would take some time to develop before being born, and we do have a couple weeks for this assignment... wait, you did not intend to sit here that long, did you?

[voidbug]

[A long pause... They were a bit surprised even if there wasn't much of a way to show it. Weeks is a very long time to wait for egg. Lots of sitting. Would have to get up sooner or later.]

Should find safe place to grow, if weeks.

Do you not have someplace to live yourself? Though they do want us taking the eggs around with us to teach us how much of a burden and responsibility real children are... presumably.

[They shook their head. Although, they aren't sure if that was mistaken for not having a place to live; rather than they were not homeless.]

[They do notice that she was carrying an egg too though. Hmm...]

You have to carry egg?

Too cold to leave in room alone?

Yes, and I am unsure of when it will hatch. Though the main thing is they wish to impress upon us not to take the decision to have children lightly, I think. At least that's what I gather from this being a health class project.

[Well they had no desire to have children...not even sure about the logistics of it anyway. But they could take better care of the egg anyway, if it meant an even better chance of survival.]

I can keep egg safe.

[Possibly would have been spoken with a bit of determination, considering now they were in the process of picking said egg up to move it. Carrying it around won't be that easy though, it was maybe like a fourth of their size after all.]

I have full confidence in you. ...though perhaps it would be wise to get a wagon or something to carry it in.

[Another momentary pause. Trying to think of something...]

Do not know where to find one.

[Also won't that require leaving the egg by itself for awhile??]

Ah... yes, perhaps. I wonder if one could be made? We have weapon shop, carpentry shop... there must be something.
