The bristling is the first tug back to reality, bringing him to wince and stop in place, but it's still not nearly enough of one to pull him from his worry. It's the way she looks at him, that really brings out his discomfort, and even with his cane in his one hand he still tries to tug the empty sleeve closer as though to hide himself.
"Accident," He dismisses quickly. "My arm got caught and the bone shattered. This is the best for now. Lots of medical magic here I can look at later. It's not important right at the moment." And he talks like he genuinely believes it nothing in that moment. It's not nothing but there's so much bigger things.
"Are you okay?" He repeats again. And then, glancing quick to Kano and then back to her, "Can we talk? Alone? I don't want to pull you away if its an emergency but..." But this is kind of in itself an emergency. His voice is tight and fear-tinged.
