Wastin' Away Again~

Where: A karaoke bar in Soleil.

Sometimes, after tests are done and mysteries uncovered, the teachers need to relax.

Which is why there is karaoke! The faculty of Daybreak Academy have converged, through random inspiration and not a terrible lot of planning, on one unsuspecting bar in Soleil on a Friday evening. A few drinks (or more!) are to be had; however, there is also a stage, with a microphone and a big screen -- which shows a music video for whatever song is on -- and the lyrics. A friendly little green ball bounces over them.

It is time to sing your heart out.

It is time... for karaoke.

Queen is always a winner. It's got just the kind of energy he likes. You can't help but grin as it comes on and he certainly can't help grinning now, watching a literal actual vampire in a cape preform it. He turns his full attention to the stage, laughing and giving a whistle to cheer him on. And maybe offering a grito or two by the end.

"¡Epa! That was great!" He says with another laugh.

And this hammy vampire does love the energy being sent back his way while he's on stage. While he might often be humble, he had to admit, he loved riling up a room like this. And what better way with a song like this one?

When he finished, he came back down from the stage, beaming a genuine, friendly smile, despite that his fangs were clearly visible in the process.

"Ah ha! Thank you, Hector! Glad you enjoyed it!"

The fangs might have disturbed him once upon a time, or if he'd seen the man using them in any real way, but for now, well, Valvatorez was a teacher and he's seen scarier teeth more recently than he'd like. But it's interesting, seeing the little inhuman things sometimes. Almost made him feel less out of place, despite hiding his own appearances.

"Hard not to enjoy that. I hadn't pinned you for a Queen fan. Nice choice."

He pats a chair by him, inviting him to join.

And with enthusiasm and without a moment's hesitation, the vampire took the seat Hector signaled to, sitting down and settling in, looking quite relaxed the whole while.

"I tend to be full of surprises. Queen was a band full of talent and showmanship, how could one not appreciate that?"

This would be a story to tell Coco someday. One time your Papá sat at a bar with a vampire.

"Exactly!" He agrees. "That's what I say. I've heard some people try and suggest that there were some big egos involved, but, pah!" He waves a hand. "One type of person means only one type of music even if that is true. I don't want to be in a world like that. You a long time fan then or more recent?"
