Case 1
Who:"Arthur Bell" (Sherlock), Aube Floor 3, Everyone else
What: Introducing an RA, getting familiar with the campus
When: Mid-may
Aube Floor 3
[Those living on the floor will notice a large, heavy box being moved into the RA's room, along with some smaller cardboard ones that were clearly heavy judging from the effort the movers were using, but so far there's no sign of the owner - until about four in afternoon - every room with an occupant will have a note slid under their door with a note:
Greetings,
My name is Arthur H. Bell and have recently been appointed as your Residential Advisor. I'd like to meet everyone on this floor, and discuss the rules that would be enforced as well as clear up any possible misunderstandings that may arise. Please meet at the 3rd floor common room at Seven PM or around there. Snacks will be provided.

Upon arriving at the appointed time, they would find a tall, lanky man sprawled on the couch, nose buried in a book, but he's instantly up and sitting properly soon as someone enters. And as he promised there's cookies and a pot of tea on the table]
Campus Grounds
[As the sun sets, the man felt a sense of relief, as the darkening sky brought respite from the cruelty of the sun as the night brought back his unnatural vitality - as he leans against the flowering cherry tree, lighting a cigarette - and letting the smoke drift.
He couldn't really enjoy a cigarette, but the motion was familiar, calming - almost ritualistic. It allows him to focus his mind. When someone passes by, he nods his head, giving a polite but cool greeting]
Soliel
[It's late at night, but curfew hasn't set in yet - when someone passes by an alleyway they may notice the man that just moved into Aube's dorm, kneeling in front of a stray dog, who wagged happily, as he handed the canine a treat]
Ah, thank you kindly. Fascinating, I shall have to look into it tomorrow night - now that other place you mention, the one that smells like death, please elaborate on it.
[Is he... holding a conversation with a dog?]
Wildcard?

Does this man remember him? He doesn't know, but he's sure going to try anyway. He hurries up to Sherlock, adjusting his hat hastily.]
Um--
Excuse me! We've met before, right?
no subject
Then a small smile appear, shoulders shagging some life in the stillness]
It really is a small world it seems. I'm surprised that you even remember...
no subject
You were kind to me. [ He doesn't say nice, because people can be nice and still not have your best interests in mind.
The man who'd told him he could earn his place in the world, working for him, had been nice. ] I definitely remember.
I didn't...think I'd see you again, though. Are you teaching stuff here?
no subject
[A wry grin appears before he covers it with a gloved hand]
I'm a Graduate student here actually - How have you been faring since I last saw you?
no subject
I've had....a lot of things happen and a nice lady rescued me from people who wanted me to blow up a town and...stuff. [ He's a master storyteller, clearly. ] But it could be worse and I've got all my limbs and everything and now I'm here so it's okay!
You're not a teacher? [ That comes as a clear surprise to him. ] Are you here to learn new things, since you're a student?
no subject
[Even as sparse as the details are, the vampire is listening attentively - huh, even back then he did more listening than speaking]
A nice lady?
no subject
[ It's kind of comforting to know more adults who find him worth listening to. More people, in general, that find him worth listening to. ]
You know a lot already though, right? What else are you learning?
no subject
[His fingertips rolled over the cigarette]
I do know quite a few things, but it never hurts to keep studying - especially as sciences do advance, what is legitimate theory could be proven to be quackery ten years later.
no subject
Earth sure is different...I guess that means I'll have to study really hard. [ He seems to frown, eyes narrowing a bit. ] But if it gets disproven later, is that a waste of time..? But it's valuable to learn it anyway, right?
[ He sounds increasingly like he's going in circles. Someone should probably stop him. ]
no subject
[As Vivi starts to go around, he held a hand up]
It's not a waste of time, as learning the old is how people discover flaws in their logic and correct themselves. There's no waste in exploring the world or satisfying your curiosity.
