I. Network - May 28th - un: j.griffin

Hey, everyone!

As you may remember from the opening speeches, I'm running for vice president of the student council. To demonstrate that I'm not just talking big game about networking, I'll be hosting a small campaign party on the afternoon of June 1st - between 2pm and 6pm. Come to the courtyard and enjoy free food and drinks, as well as a nice afternoon with your fellow students!

On a second note, if any clubs are in need of additional funding, please don't hesitate to speak to me. The campaign budget is far too much to reasonably spend on self-promotion, so I'd rather start by working on he same things I'd also be doing as Vice President :)

II. Around Campus - Anytime from May 27th to June 7th

[ These days, you'll find a few posters around campus - you know, just in case you've forgotten who James is and what he's doing. Just to make sure you remember, really. To give James credit, they're not plastered in every corner though. It's a tasteful(?) amount of self-advertising.

James himself is out and about a lot these days, checking in at classes and group activities, trying to make himself useful. He always has a flyer-sized edition of his campaign poster at hand to give out.

Encounter James anywhere and everywhere! Deface his posters or flyers! This is as good as a wild-card option really. ]

III. PARTY! - June 1st - Feel free to mingle!

[ As advertised, there is a small but nice open air party on this fine day. There's a barbecue and a buffet, both of which are well-stocked and free to take from. Drinks exist in large quantities, decidedly all non-alcoholic (unlike with anything rival candidate Ernst Krause might be hosting). James has also had benches put up, furnished with cushions. There's a few parasols as well. Soft pop music is playing from a portable speaker. In short, it's the very picture of a garden party. Almost boring in how standard it is.

James is all over the place all afternoon, welcoming guests personally, handing food around, and generally checking for the well-being of everyone attending. ]

[There's exactly one reason Keith's even bothered showing up at this party thing that James organized. No, it's not because he's being supportive of his roommates student council aspirations or whatever, it's the fact that there is free food. He's sitting alone at his own table with a plate of barbequed chicken, minding his own business for the most part. It's when this song starts playing that he shoots the speakers a deeply incredulous look. Audibly, he mutters:]

Someone turn this crap off.

5.000€. Even with printing posters and hosting the party, I've got a lot left over.

And I'm running for vice because I don't think I stand a chance as president, plain and simple. I'm far newer and less established than the other candidates. The safer bet is to run for a less sought-after position and establish cred this way. I'll run for president next term.

And I agree with the wastefulness. As I said, I've got no idea how I'd use all of this money on a school campaign, so I'll put the majority to other uses.

Depends on if any clubs speak up about need for funding. I'd review their projects, of course, but I'd like to put money to use there.

If nobody needs any, it's going to local charity in Soleil. I'll justify it's part of campaigning because it strengthens Academy-Town relationships.

Useless party-person. Rich, spoiled, annoying. Has no intention of actually doing any work at all. Just a loud-mouth with nothing to offer but a bad attitude.

[ And then, after a minute: ] His family name has crowd appeal. I'm confident I can beat him, but it's still annoying.

we've had a problem like that with our campaign too...

[For President Nana, which Yuya was very enthusiastic about until the while temporarily getting killed, and now it's been quiet. But like, there's only so much money one can spend on stickers and buttons.]

that's a really nice idea! i can't ask for the drama club because that's probably some conflict of interest (￣▽￣)／ but it'll help someone!

I really wonder what we are actually meant to spend all the money on? I assume that there are some base calculations that made them come up with the number for funds, but... It's a big mystery to me.

Money can't buy a personality, and that's what's really needed for campaigning.
