[yikes]
Who: Adelaide & you! Plus some closed prompts.
When: ~July 6th
What: The rampages strike another person, with results that are perhaps a little bloodier than intended.
Where: Around campus, mostly.
Warnings: Violence & blood, at the very least.

[She doesn’t think twice about it, really. The craving she feels getting to her. It’s something she’s felt a lot. It’s something she’s been feeling for months. The desire for blood, the desire to get it straight from the source. Usually, she’s able to ignore it - but why should she? There are so many people here, and so many of them just won’t care.
So why should she stop herself from being herself? That’s what she’s thinking, as she rounds the corner and sees a familiar face.]
Oh, hey.

[It was quick, at least. Maybe that’s mostly because of her, though. She’s fast, and efficient, and she feels better than ever with fresh blood in her veins.
And down the front of her shirt.
Adelaide looks like a horror show, as she wanders the campus, and she doesn’t seem all that bothered by it. There’s blood on her face, smeared like she tried to wipe it away with her arm, and there’s a glint in her eyes. She seems like she’s looking for something, a determined glint in her eyes and moving with purpose.
Whatever she’s looking for, you might want to hope it’s not you.]

[She’s managed to find her way to her destination. It’s not difficult, tracking Rex. She’s gotten better and better at predicting where he’ll be, and asides from that, she knows his smell by now. They’ve spent so much time together, and they’ve always been so close...She could easily pick him out from a crowd, and find him from miles away.
And she wants him. She’s spent so much time waffling on that, but that’s what she truly wants, isn’t it?]
Rex.
[There’s still blood down her front, and when she grins at him her teeth are sharp.]
I’ve been looking for you.
d;
[All good things must come to an end - and all bad things, too. It hits her, abruptly, that what she’s done is terrible. That what she’s done could ruin her.
God.
She hopes she hasn’t hurt anyone too badly. There’s too much evidence to hope she hasn’t hurt anyone at all. She’s a monster. She finally snapped and someone else paid the price and now what is she going to do? She tried so hard, and she tried to keep it a secret for so long, and now it’s all just…
Ruined. It’s all ruined.
Adelaide knows she shouldn’t run away, but she can’t think of anything else to do. She goes to the roof, in the form of a fluffy back cat, and finds a spot to curl up as she tries to think of what to do now.]

Oh, Adelaide! [He grins.] What's up?
[It's saturday, so he's out of uniform and in a graphic shirt and jeans with a mos-match of jewelry. His usual collar, pendulum, and goggles hanging around his neck. He was on his way out, but he always has time to stop for a friend.]

[She laughs, softly, before going quiet.
Yuya...smells good. Most people smell good, now, she's noticed. Body odor isn't really a thing. Most people just smell like their blood, which means they smell delicious.]
Just...wandering around. It's kind of a strange day, to be honest.

Vampires. She knew there were some on campus and that they weren’t immediately dangerous, but when the smell was combined with blood like this? Adelaide must be in trouble. Maybe she was being attacked right now! Kohaku grabbed her sword from where it was hanging in its sheath on the corner of her bed and darted out the door, following her nose as quickly as she could.]
no subject
Adelaide looks over when she hears Kohaku approaching, taking in the sword.]
Looks like you're ready for a fight.

Adelaide!? But you're-

Did you know, a lot of shape changing abilities don't actually change your scent? Hello Adelaide, My dear Serena would like you to give her one good reason not to break out the stakes and garlic. I'm here to actually give you a chance to defend yourself.
no subject
She changes back, even though she doesn't want to.]
Don't even bother. I deserve it.
no subject
Well now, that doesn't sound like the remorseless, literally bloodthirsty, monster you were earlier today. So either you had a sudden change of heart, or you weren't quite yourself back then. It says something about the world right now that I'm not sure which is more likely.

So he turns about the same time she says his name and gets the whiff of blood he's so familiar with before he finishes spinning on his heel.
Ah.
Well, he can't say he hasn't planned for this. ]
...Okay. Take a seat, please.
[ The way he's wiping his hands off on the apron he wears over his coat disguises the multitude of protective spells he's covering himself in, that he prepared for the day Adelaide snaps and it's his job to fix. ]
no subject
Today is not that day.
Adelaide does, at least, take a seat. She often finds herself doing what Rex wants, whether she means to or not. Doesn't that mean she should get something for it?
Shouldn't she get what she wants, just this once?]
You know, I've been doing some thinking.
[Which isn't a lie, for as much as she's running off instinct.]
no subject
Careful, it's hot.
[ He doesn't sit, though looks as relaxed as his deadpan face usually does. His heart, not quite so much. He's mostly thinking where he can run away with her to if she's killed someone. Since she's being calm, he wants to take it slow- demanding answers and panicking might just make things worse. Let her say and do as she wishes for now.
Gives him more time to plan and cast. ]
Please, elaborate.

Given that he's a werewolf, he genuinely doesn't think his blood will actually register as "food" but either way, he's fairly certain he can handle himself if need be. Sparing that, there's always Cosmo to teleport them to safety like the best doggo. Perhaps he's in for a rude awakening. Adelaide isn't exactly hard to track down given the smell of fresh blood following her around, but it's still a little jarring to actually see the state she's in.]
Looks like you've had enough blood for tonight, don't you think?
no subject
He, at least, doesn't smell like food. He reeks of a dog, and Adelaide laughs when she smells him. She smells him before she sees him, and she straightens up to look Keith up and down.]
I don't know if there's such a thing, pup.
no subject
[That's...new. And surprise, surprise, Keith no likey. The smaller puppy beside him makes a low growling noise.]
Okay, look. We've barely talked but James is worried about you so just knock this shit off.

She was happy. Somewhat. Just not as happy as she would have liked. Still, she tries to convince herself everything's fine. It does start to work, somewhat, as she wanders the hallways. She even manages to hum a quiet tune to herself. The thoughts do come back, though. Luckily her good friend Adelaide is here!
...why is she covered in red stuff?]
Adelaide? Adelaide! Are you okay! You're all covered in blood!
no subject
It's Desco.
Adelaide laughs at her concern, waving her hand dismissively.]
I'm fine! I've never been better, honestly.
[It's so much better, just giving in, instead of listening to the voice in her head telling her to restrain herself. To keep herself from being what she was meant to be.]
no subject
Ooohhh... Well, Desco's happy you're feeling good, but you don't look so good. Did you get into a really intense sparing match or something?
