Memory Sharicus - Oh No, not again!
About 8 am on July 15th, Rex does something stupid in his usual genius way. It was meant to be a small, simple test run of a method to scan a person and instantly gain all the data he needed to produce a Phantom.
The small field the spell was meant to spread just kept growing, until popping like a bubble with the most counterintuitive sound of all- two seconds of white noise, sounding as if it was coming from inches away. Not everyone heard it. But everyone who did...
It's a painless process, almost ticklish and instantaneous as numerous coloured orbs fly out from their chest, taking wild curving trajectories that launch them all over the academy and some of Soleil, coming to a sudden stop and hovering silently for just a few seconds.
That's when they start to slowly float towards the nearest possible recipient of the memory they contain, accelerating as they get closer as if thought and mind have a unique sort of magnetism.
It's sort of beautiful to see, really, not that Rex will notice because 60% of his mind is consumed with fear he will get into trouble and the Phantom project will be compromised. On the other hand, the Phantom project could provide the perfect scapegoat. So about six hours after the initial event, he released his latest creation- the Phantom mischief-maker, Waggery!
What a disaster.
(( ooc: The planning post is here! Be careful to warn for the nastier memories! If you already have memories planned to share, feel free to write them as a top level or just put up your character and link to the planning/make it a free for all. There'll be a post below for Waggery shenanigans and random NPC memories up for grabs. ))

[Something's wrong. Cat Dancer is holding Serena's shoulders, a grim expression on her face. Serena is gripping that bracelet of hers, something that seems to have become a habit since she got it. Her gaze is cold, dispassionate. Which isn't exactly strange for Serena, but it's usually just disinterest. She seems to be almost looking through Yuya.]

[She seems to be pressing the bracelet against her skin, hard enough to leave an impression.]
It... involved my Mother's death.
no subject
Yuya approaches in an instant, reaching to put a gentle, reassuring hand on her shoulder.] I'm sorry. Something like that's... really hard, isn't it? Um, could you tell whose memory it was?
no subject
It belonged to the one who killed her. Zarc.
[The look in her eyes is a mix of hatred and sadness as she stares at him. She raises her hand up, and presses the bracelet against his arm.]
no subject
Yuya covers his hand over the injury and takes a step back.]
no subject
[Serena takes a step forwards to match Yuya's step back.]
Like you. I didn't want to believe it, but all the signs are there. Zarc is alive, and he's right in front of me.
no subject
Serena--I can explain! [He takes another step back.] I didn't know!
no subject
Didn't know what?
no subject
[He shakes his head.] I really don't know any more than you do what's happening.
no subject
He's not lying, Serena.
So... you're not Zarc, but an unwilling host... Ahaha. I wonder what Augustine would say about this? Zarc is too dangerous to let recover, but you're just one more of his victims. Maybe an exorcism would work?
no subject
[Well, planning to do? Did he know?]

[He closes the gap between them again, reaching for Serena's sleeve.] Please, you can't tell anyone!

Yuya-kun, NightWatch is the closest thing to a family I have. I can't just keep something this important from them!
Perhaps, just to be sure, we should raise the issue with Fran-senpai first? She'd never judge someone on something they had no choice in.
no subject
[He doesn't want this to get around. Doesn't want--they were already looking for him, so what are they going to do?]
no subject
[Cat Dancer's grip on Serena shifts to a comforting embrace at those words.]
no subject
... They can't make me do anything.
[They can't, they can't. He's not their no matter what reports there are or--or who they send to spy on him. It hurts that might've always been Serena's goal.
Yuya backs away, twisting on his heels to sprint to the stairs and away from them.]
no subject
[Cat Dancer jumps over both Serena and Yuya, landing between him and the stairs.]
For heaven's sake, calm down! Tell me something, Yuya-kun. Why are you so afraid of NightWatch? Judging these people you haven't even met is a bit unlike you, isn't it?
no subject
no subject
Tsk, that's not an answer. Yuya! Is it really you that's afraid?! Does this feeling come from your heart or Zarc's?
no subject
Get out of my way! [A dark aura pulls in before bursting out in all directions, as much force as he can muster to try and push her away.]
no subject
[Cat Dancer is just blasted away from the force. Serena isn't so lucky. The arm holding the bracelet slams into the floor, resulting in a sickening crunch. If Yuya were to look, he would see that arm bending in a way it's definitely not supposed to.]
Serena!
[Cat Dancer rushes to Serena, forgetting all about preventing Yuya from leaving in her panic.]
Just hold on, I'll get you to the infirmary!
no subject
Ah, he really is the worst.]
