Memory Sharicus - Oh No, not again!
About 8 am on July 15th, Rex does something stupid in his usual genius way. It was meant to be a small, simple test run of a method to scan a person and instantly gain all the data he needed to produce a Phantom.
The small field the spell was meant to spread just kept growing, until popping like a bubble with the most counterintuitive sound of all- two seconds of white noise, sounding as if it was coming from inches away. Not everyone heard it. But everyone who did...
It's a painless process, almost ticklish and instantaneous as numerous coloured orbs fly out from their chest, taking wild curving trajectories that launch them all over the academy and some of Soleil, coming to a sudden stop and hovering silently for just a few seconds.
That's when they start to slowly float towards the nearest possible recipient of the memory they contain, accelerating as they get closer as if thought and mind have a unique sort of magnetism.
It's sort of beautiful to see, really, not that Rex will notice because 60% of his mind is consumed with fear he will get into trouble and the Phantom project will be compromised. On the other hand, the Phantom project could provide the perfect scapegoat. So about six hours after the initial event, he released his latest creation- the Phantom mischief-maker, Waggery!
What a disaster.
(( ooc: The planning post is here! Be careful to warn for the nastier memories! If you already have memories planned to share, feel free to write them as a top level or just put up your character and link to the planning/make it a free for all. There'll be a post below for Waggery shenanigans and random NPC memories up for grabs. ))

It's something he's happy to accept. ]

[A good stark difference from all the fears, at any rate.]
[If it wasn't a problem for Ekkehardt, she definitely wanted to stay this way for awhile.]
no subject
So. If she doesn't object to it, he's hardly going to object either. ]

[She might have conveniently shifted some that Ekkehardt could still get some work done. Otherwise, she didn't want to move. Not yet.]
[After so many weeks of dread, it was nice to finally have a moment to pack it all away. Even just for a little while. If something was to happen right this moment Puella was pretty sure Ekkehardt could take care of it. He was pretty strong like that.]
[If only something like this could last forever...]
[Little lights formed around them both like twinkling stars in a lavender sky. As they grew in numbers, Puella could suddenly hear it again; that ticking noise. It had come back.]
[She lifted her head to finally see what it was coming to from...only to witness the floating purple stars, now accompanied by subtle clock faces now that the spell was in full effect.]
[It may be hard to notice, but the world was no longer the same it had been. The wind outside had stopped moving, water would no longer flow, and many more powerful changes; besides the two of them.]

So this is your power, is it?
It's certainly unexpected. But that's not at all a bad thing.
[ He sounds affectionate. Proud, really (and a little awed). It's something she can do all by herself; who wouldn't be proud of that? ]
no subject
[Despite that, the flattery hit hard. Puella could tell that her face must have heated up slightly. But she had done it all on her own! This must be what magic was like! She had finally done it.]
...I like it though. [It's pretty. Prettier than anything she could have imagined. It was plenty enough to be proud of, and to make people proud of her.]
[And that's still without even knowing time had taken a standstill.]

[ The ticking is something he can notice easily; that time has stopped, less so. But he's used to picking up on small details, so when certain sounds aren't manifesting as they should, he takes another look around. ]
Though it seems that's not the only thing it does. What an interesting power.

[Puella seems too oblivious to what else is happening, even after looking around for whatever clues Ekkehardt might've found. There was just the clocks, which she stared at while it ticked away.]
That's the noise I heard before. [She remembered it very vividly, but doesn't recall any of this other stuff happening.]

Watch the clock for a moment. This one here. [ He indicates the little trinket - one of many - sitting on his desk. It's an analog clock, rather than a digital one, and as a result it's a perfect demonstration of her power.
The hands don't so much as twitch. Not even the thinnest one, the one that tracks seconds, that is always moving. ]

[Or...]
It stopped... I-I stopped it?
[It could be!]
no subject
That's quite an extraordinary power to have.
no subject
[But she went back to watching at the clock a little while longer. Not touching it, or leaving Ekkehardt's lap, but waiting to see if the clock would change. Though honestly it was just as exciting as watching paint dry. It was really stuck hard.]
[She gave up, instead tried to look for something else that might be proof from his lap. Unfortunately, the stars were just now starting to disperse and fade. Nooo, they can't leave yet!!]
[But just as the last star disappeared, Ekkehardt's clock returned back to life.] -!
It's working now! It is!!

It looks like you've enhanced your power a little more.
[ He leans over slightly, checking the clock. No, it hasn't suffered any ill effects from being stopped for a while. ]
no subject
[But whatever it was, Puella seemed damn proud of it. Even if she had no clue how she did it. It made Ekkehardt happy so it was completely worth it.] So I'm strong now? Like everybody else?
[Enough to save the world and do all the dangerous stuff the adults do. Definitely not getting ahead of herself.]
