What a Welcome Home... (OPEN)
Who: Maya back from an trip home.
When: 8:05 AM on July 15th
Warnings: Maya is a little upset that this is what she comes home to.
She'd gone home because sister was graduating college, and there was celebration in order. It was nice, well... not the lying part. Katie knew about Daybreak, and so did mom. But when Maya saw her friends all home on summer break she had to tell them she was at a school that 'catered to her needs' and let them all just squirm uncomfortably as they thought about how weird Maya was.
It didn't help that she slipped into her casual habits with her powers, hearing how people changed and inferring off of their life, complimenting them on how happy they were before being told why. The little things you can do at a magic school but can't do at home. With friends you've known a long time. All of this was weighing on, until she was distracted.
Loud noises, flying marbles of light, vivid memories that weren't hers. Maybe if it was just the memories and the lights it'd be fine. But no, some asshole did a spell so large it covered most of the school. Which meant it was loud enough she could hear every element of the spell all around campus as it did its work. And she could hear every ball of colored light as it left a host and the best Maya managed was not throwing up.
Lucky her.
"What the hell did I miss being away..?" She'll just, lay there for a while, while it quiets down. She doesn't have anywhere to be and really she doesn't wanna test the limits on her ability to not throw up right at this moment.

"Ah... I have no idea of where they're coming from, but be careful - they're memories."

The air was still noisy with magic. It was different now, the spell's aftermath sounded like fragments of people. The copies in the orbs were incomplete. It was still a lot to get used to. She's not really moving to get up, primarily because it's still a crap ton of magic in the air until a few more of those orbs go away. "So pretend someone just blew up a bomb on top of the entire campus. That's where they came from."
