everybody super sonic racing. [open]
Who: Charlotte Wiltshire + open!
When: August 9-16??
Where: Aube dorms, library,
What: moving in, being haunted, the usual.
Warnings: past body horror/child murder. brat being bratty.
[ MOVING IN - AUBE FLOOR 1, AUG 9TH. ]
[Her roommate isn't in when she arrives, which is just fine by her. It gives her ample time to get her half of the room -- which is really more like 3/4 of the room when she's through, despite not having that many possessions to speak of at all -- properly tidied up and arranged. It also means she gets to snoop to her heart’s content just in case there's anything interesting. She decides there isn't, but she pockets a couple little useless trinkets anyway. Why not?
Once satisfied with her room, she goes along the hallway, testing to see if any rooms have been left unlocked and if not, giving a cheerful knock.]
Hello~ Anybody home? I’d like to get to know everybody.
[If your character happens to be supernaturally sensitive due to the ghost plot? Feel free to have them meet not just Charlotte, but at least a dozen hacked up ghost children lingering around her.
Of course, she’ll also be chilling around the kitchen area, leaving cabinets open, rearranging the fridge, and mixing up an absolutely senseless concoction that she then sticks in the oven and walks away from. Forever, is her intention. Enjoy, friends!!]
[ MOVING ON - AUBE 101, VIVI’S RETURN. ]
[Her playful peace has to come to an end eventually, though. Charlotte’s ready, whenever Vivi makes his way back to their room. She’d considered wrenching an arm off and laying in a pool of blood, then cheerfully sitting up to greet him, but...in the end, she decides it’s far too much effort to waste on someone that was probably going to end up being extremely boring. It wouldn't hurt to try and get on his good side from the start, either.
So instead, she’d gone to the store with a stolen credit card she was ready to ditch and loaded up on chips and soda. There are no “normal” flavors. Only that specialty shit you try on a dare. With Vivi's topsheet, she sets the scene for a picnic and waits.]
[ NOT READING - LIBRARY, VARIOUS. ]
[More than likely, the reason someone is drawn to the pale girl while she's slowly wandering the stacks is because...there’s music coming from her. Or, more specifically, from the game system she's got in her hands that she pokes aggressively at with the stylus. She seems far more interested in that than paying attention to other patrons, her posse of mutilated ghost kids, or actually, you know, taking a look at the wealth of information around her.
Other times, though, she actually does have books with her. There’s a stack of classics next to her, but thanks to the recent happenings, the book that actually has her attention is one that's probably pretty popular these days, with its various academic musings on the nature of souls, particularly after death. Charlotte yawns and sets her chin down on the open pages.]
Bo-oring…
[ WILDCARD. ]
[Want to have run into Charlotte while she was shopping for that gross stuff she’s sharing with Vivi? Maybe she was running in the halls? Did she snatch up that snack your character was reaching for, look them dead in the eye, then take the most deliberate bite ever?
Whatever the scenario, let's go. Hit me up on
goblinhood if you want to discuss something!]

aube 101
Not bad odd, though. He doesn't seem unhappy, just surprised. ]
[ One thing is abundantly clear, however; Vivi certainly isn't a normal child. ]
Oh! Um, hello! [ He blinks, once or twice. ] Are you staying here now?
[ Here as in Aube? Here as in 'this room specifically'? Both, really. ]
no subject
Yep! This is my room! ["our" room] Wow, look at you. You must be the other person staying here! Hi, I'm Charlotte. My friends [lol] call me Lotte!
no subject
It's nice to meet you, Charlotte! [ He doesn't count as a friend yet, he thinks, so. ] I'm Vivi.
[ He can sense she's strange, but it doesn't scare him. In fact, it's almost more comfortable this way.
He crouches down at the edge of the sheet, eyes wide. ] How come all this is here? Are you having a party?
no subject
Hmm? It'd be sad if I had to throw my own welcoming party, wouldn't it? [Apparently the very idea of it makes her laugh.] But then I thought, there's nothing wrong with throwing you one, when you're back from whatever you were doing! Were you back home? Here, here! You want to sit down, don't you? Look at the food and drinks I got for us.
no subject
[ As far as he knows, anyway.
He sits, cross-legged, elbows on his knees as he leans forward to look at the selection of snacks. There sure is a lot! ]
You've got really interesting taste...I haven't seen a lot of these before! [ He sounds excited. ] Which one do you want to try first?
no subject
Right? It all looked like a lot of fun. [With a long hum, she looks over her horrific bounty...then picks up a bag of cappuccino-flavored potato chips. It wouldn't taste great, but the crunch would be satisfying. She's far more interested in seeing what Vivi thinks about the flavor, eyes unflinchingly trained on him even as she takes a bite.] What kind of mystery was it?
no subject
Enough to try a few more, anyway. He picks them over in his hand as he replies, because you shouldn't talk with your mouth full, or at least that's what he's been taught. ]
There was a spooky dog attacking people. Mr Bell thought it might be covering up something else, so he took me and some other people along to look.
There were parts of it that were kinda scary, but it turned out okay!
[ Crunch. He's finished talking, so he can eat! Apparently he's relatively neutral about the taste. ]
I don't think coffee and chips are supposed to go together, [ he says thoughtfully, after a moment. ]

Wildcard
...
Oh yeah. The hacked up ghost kids swarming around her were kind of weird too he guessed.
...
Was that a bacon candy cane?!]
no subject
Still, this is starting to get old, so without a second thought, Charlotte bursts into delighted giggles, grabs some random thing off the shelf, and trots over to present it to Avery.]
Wow! Look, look! Can I get this, too? Pleeeease?
[shopping partner: get]
no subject
Woah there, kiddo. You've already gotten quite a bit in your basket there! Are you sure you brought enough money? You promised you'd stick to your allowance this time.
no subject
Do I still have to call you "daddy" if I'm paying for it myself -- um, daddy? You said you'd buy me candy if I did...
[buy her shit or she'll say it even louder so it isn't just the one person looking over with concern]
no subject
She WENT there! Okay.
Okay. He can save this]
You don't have to if you don't want to. Just "Avery" is fine. But your mother and I love each other very much [gag] and I'm just trying to do what's best for all of us. We're both new at this!
[A short pause]
And uh. I'm totally planning on getting that 12 kilo gummy snake over there for bragging rights so that's using up a preeeeetty good chunk of my money for the week.
no subject
Ohh, really? [She hums, pretending to look thoughtful for a moment before she shrugs. Crying won't do much for her here, she's afraid.] Bragging rights are pretty important. I wanna carry it so I can brag, too! Here, daddy Avery, you take the basket!
[Because it's getting pretty dang heavy, and why was he having this poor little girl carry around such a heavy thing, anyway?]

LIBRARY...
You have to know someone for a ghost to appear, or at least...Have known, probably.
She definitely sees a lot of those things though, but hey that's probably normal. Looks like it hurts though. Probably not experiencing any nice emotions for that matter.
They're Probably Fine.]
...if it's boring, why are you looking at the books? [It seems an important question. Why would you bother reading a thing, if you don't want to?? That's dumb.]
no subject
She wasn't expecting anyone to be watching her here, particularly not some blank-faced, empty-eyed kid. Young, she thinks. Certainly younger than she's supposed to be. Whatever. It doesn't change the fact that she's got to inject some sweetness into her tone again.]
...Because it's really hard to youtube something like this and find credible sources. The books in this school were my only choice.
no subject
[That tone will do Nothing if you're feeling sour Charlotte so be careful on that,]
Oh...the internet thing with videos. [Right, right.]
...Sources for what though?
no subject
Mhm! The internet thing with videos. You haven't watched all the cat ones? Or the drama?
[Ignoring her question, for now. She figures the kid can read the dang cover if she's really so interested, gosh.]
no subject
Reira glances at the cover, answering in the same motion.] ...Watching cats that are real is better, [she determines, looking back up.]
....mnnh. Drama has... ...a lot of english meanings though...
[Which Drama...is she supposed to watch...]
no subject
Maybe. Not everyone gets to watch real cats, though. You probably shouldn't rub it in peoples faces so much.
[Her eyebrows lift in momentary surprise. Just watch all the drama?]
Hmm. I'd recommend the Logan Paul scandal from when he was in Japan! Anything Pewdiepie has to publicly apologize for is pretty good, too, though.

Library time
Ah, that would do it.]
Oy!
[It, by all means, looks like he's talking to no one.]
Beat it! Scram! Before I kill the lot of you!
[He shoves and shoos the startled kids out of his way. He pushes until he's finding a chair close to hers. He doesn't address her yet, instead turning back to the ghoul gaggle and shouting one more time.]
Yes, I'm talking to you, do you wanna be eaten? I said get out of here! Geez... forgot how annoying that was...
no subject
Ugh. You're so noisy. Aren't you the one being annoying?
[...She's grateful, sort of, even if she can't see the ghosts anyway and she doesn't think it was for her sake. Just... Ugh.]
no subject
[Charm. Yeah.]
Besides you're the one goofing off in a library. Awfully jumpy, considering.
[He spares a glance to those clenched fists.]
no subject
Considering what? I'm just a little girl and some loud guy started yelling death threats? Imagine if that wasn't something to make me jump...
[It actually hasn't happened as much as it probably should have, but... Anyway.]
...Hey. Do yo know how many of them there are? I can't see them myself, but I'm curious.
no subject
He merely scoffs at her defense, but even still doesn't make it into actually reading. She asks casually, but he's not entirely sure it is. He glances back.]
Not sure. A lot of them screwed off outside. Six? Seven? Eighteen? I'm not going to try and sense them all, this place is crowded with them for whatever reason. Daemons too scared to make a move on the buffet I guess.
no subject
Maybe. Or they aren't normal at all and your senses are too weak to know the difference~ I've heard that the academy's only been having heightened "sensitive" activity for a short while, now. Bet it'll pass soon.
