Lost
Who: Jun and others
What: AMNESIA!
When: August 15
Where: The front gates of Daybreak Academy initially, plus other places.
Warnings: Angst, probably
-Front door-
It was around 8am. One moment, the road from the school to Soleil proper was mostly empty. The next, there was a man standing there. He had high quality clothing and was holding a staff made out of something not immediately unidentifiable. It was blue. There wasn't any kind of special effect. No glowing portal or shimmer of sparkles. One moment he wasn't there, the next he was.
He blinked a few times, staring blankly into space for a while, as he tried to take stock of his situation. He...felt okay. Physically. Checking himself he could feel two arms and two legs and a head and they all felt like they worked like they were supposed to. He wasn't sure why he was hanging out on this road but before this he'd been...
...What had he been doing?
He didn't know.
Oh god. He didn't know anything. The world seemed to get all swimmy as the enormity of it fell on him. He didn't know where he was or who he was or why how he had gotten here or anything. He fell to his knees and clutched at his head as if he could squeeze some memories out of it, the staff clattering to the ground next to him. What was going ON?
"What the FUCK?"
-Later-
His name was Jun. He remembered that now. He still knew what chairs and TVs and phones and shit like that were, he knew how to talk (several languages, apparently), but anything specific was just blank.
Still, he was apparently at a school that dealt with magic and monsters, so that was probably okay. They'd agreed to give him a room to stay in at least until he figured out what was going on. So his immediate future looked okay.
Of course, it wasn't the most pressing concern he had right now.
Jun poked around the school, looking around at anything, anywhere, in hopes that it might jostle some kind of memory loose. He wasn't going into random people's rooms or offices but short of that, Jun could be found anywhere he would be allowed into, just looking kind of simultaneously interested and lost.

later, room
Oh, you must be the new roommate! Greetings. I'd been told there was someone new.

I didn't think they'd do co-ed rooms...

[He has money. Enough to last him for a while.]

[She sets down the teen mag, open to an article entitled "What Your Teachers are REALLY Thinking," right next to the page on "Our Favourite Back-to-School Memes."]
later
Like Jun is, except... guy seems sort of confused, the longer Tobias watches. Eventually, he lands on a perch near Jun, 'speaking' to him with a voice that isn't quite sound.]
< Hey. Are you okay? Do you need help? >
no subject
Hello? Who's there!?

[...and talking wildlife never helps!!]

[Properly focusing on the birb.]
Are there a lot talking birds around here? Is this something I'm going to have to get used to?

[Thinking back Jun realizes he DOES know what a familiar is, though not where he learned this information.]
I'm Jun.
[That's about all the greeting he can do.]
no subject
< I'm Tobias. Are you looking for something? >
Later...
What does catch his attention is how this person seems to be poking into everything.]
Can...I help you?
no subject
[Well that was fun thread ov-]
Actually...
I don't...look familiar to you, do I?
XD
[This is an unusual enough situation that Ren doesn't mind in a bit more in the way of small talk.]
no subject
[Please don't ask where from...]
no subject
[That seems to be a safe enough assessment, based on what Ren is looking at.]

But you look like you're not sure how you got here.

[Jun is flustered, and is expressing that with anger. That emotion calming power might actually be useful here.]
Hope this is cool
He takes a moment to crouch down and touch the ground, sending his powers through, and then stands up, as though he were merely stretching. Ren's power to calm is silent and to Jun, it feels like all of the agitation and anger is abruptly not there, hopefully giving him a more positive experience.]
Not at all.
later, outside fucking somewhere
She's rolling her eyes and slowly making her way over, arms crossed over her chest and flanked by her Stand as always.]
You look lost, the fuck's up?

Damn, thought they would've waited until closer to classes again to drag new people in, but what the fuck do I know.
no subject
[Everything?]
How about something to eat? Maybe things will seem less baffling on a full stomach.

I think it's getting close to dinner, so you'd be looking for The Grand Hall in that case. Come on. [She's motioning towards a direction with her head and already turning to move.]
There's little vendors with all kinds of shit in the center of this school during the day, but dinner's always in the Hall.

[He fell in to step next to Jolyne, letting her lead the way.]
I don't know you, do I?
Front Door
"You all right?" The young man questioned in accented English as he approaches him, hands up to indicate that he has no intentions of doing any harm.

Gotta get a grip. Can't show weakness. If you're not okay, just fake it until you know what's going on. Jun focused, going through mental exercises to he didn't know the source of but that helped him regain control of his mind. "I'm.....I'm fine."

Well THAT raised a whole lot of questions.

"That is right. You weren't there - and then you were."

Might as well get the basics down.
