You waste your time with hate and regret [Open]
Who: Puella with some Kit cameos, and anyone else
When: August 21st-September 1st
Where: Campus
What: Post mission recovery, post mission blues, and apparently, Postmates.
Warnings: It seems almost mandatory that every Puella log contains sad now
A - Thawing Out (Infirmary, Aug 21st)
[Nothing about it was very serious anymore, but it didn't hurt to be cautious at any rate. Ice magic at that caliber was no joke, and the last thing needed was a rebound because no one had been supervising her.]
[Despite it still being summer, Puella was under at least three blankets, had a heat pad going, and somehow was still feeling a bit cold and shivering occasionally. It kept her in bed and easy to check on at least, but it was far from pleasant. And yet somehow it could've been far worse.]
[The most Puella could do was try to sleep it off and wait for her body heat to come back, but she was also open to guests that wanted to try to cheer her up. There was...plenty of that needed too, given everything else that happened.]
[At a later part of day one visitor did make their way to peek into Puella's room for a few minutes. They did not really say anything though. Did they actually go to this school? Were they even human for that matter? They looked almost like an oversized plush doll than another kid...]
[Of course, they quickly tried to dash off the moment someone else approached anyway.]
B - The Waiting Game (Lum Floor 1, Aug 22nd and onwards)
[Very rarely does Puella try to find Ekkehardt at his room, or even try to go in there for that matter, but she stay right at the door wanting to go in. Alas, it seemed to be lock for the time being. Maybe because it'll help in recover faster, or maybe so his casket won't get vandalized anymore.]
[Regardless of the reason, Puella tried giving the door a tug and no use. Not that she tried very hard at all, but it was obvious it wasn't going to open up any time soon. Or maybe she just didn't actually want to see what was inside. ...So she paced around the door instead. Maybe, just maybe, if she stayed around long enough Ekkehardt would open it on his own and come out. And...]
[...No, it wouldn't be that easy. She saw what happened to him, and it wasn't pretty. How exactly was he supposed to come back from that?]
Ekke..? [She asked too softly for anyone to hear. No reply. She glanced down at the floor with her vision starting to blur.]
[Puella found a sofa available in the common room to curl up on. She...needed a moment. None of this would've happened if she hadn't been so careless.]
C - Delivered in 30 Minutes or Free (Campus, Anytime)
[As the start of the school year got closer, Kit was beginning to make himself a little more known around the academy. Not because he really wanted to, mind you, his English and French was horribly broken so there was barely anyone to communicate with. And there was still...his over all appearance not fitting in to worry about as well. But the trips were quick, faster still because he was nervous about being seen, which worked out well in a way since he always did get everything delivered on time.]
[So whenever he was seen, he was always carrying something. A coffee here, takeout there, way too many energy drinks everywhere - all of which seemed to go into one of two directions: Avery's apartment or his office.]
[Come to think of it, that dark purple cloak and aesthetic kind of matched with Avery's too. ...Weird.]
D - Wildcard
[Surprise me with anything.]

By the time it came to him, the team had already left for the mission and he'd made the decision not to try and contact anyone already en route, thinking it might only be another thing to worry about when they needed to be focused. When they returned, and it became known what happened to Puella, guilt prevailed above all other emotions. Coming here and telling her might not be a good idea, but he thinks she deserves to know.]
Puella?
[His voice is much quieter than usual, in case she's sleeping. He's convinced his guard to stay outside the infirmary, and has come alone.]
no subject
[...So it really was Toki. But why would he be here?]
no subject
I wanted to make sure you were okay. How are you feeling?
[At least he's learned English, though his pronunciation is off sometimes.]
no subject
[..Alas, can't get up too much. It was freezing out there.]
Cold... [She snuggled back down against the pillow.]
no subject
I... I came here to tell you I'm sorry. How it happened isn't important, but I had a vision about you and it came to me later than it was supposed to and I didn't warn you about this in time.
no subject
You saw it? [She wasn't angry about it, or upset. But, she did want to know...]
no subject
[He doesn't go into specific imagery.]
I didn't want to to interrupt the mission to tell you, because I might have been wrong and it could lead to you or anyone else there making different decisions because of it and having a worse outcome.
[It's a convoluted way to say she wasn't dead in the vision, and he didn't want to change the outcome so she might be.]

And what happened to those involved.
The Troupe Master gave space to them, time to recover. He does not know what will happen to Ekkehardt and all he can do is leave the choice the other man made in his own hands. Meanwhile there are others he can speak with.
Which is why he seeks out Puella. He actually walks into the common room rather then teleports in, and the Troupe Master's voice quiet when he speaks.]
Greetings, dear Puella. [He does not ask if she is well.] Is there anything I can do for you?
no subject
[Puella was unclear just how many people actually knew. Then again, news that one of the school medics had been mortally wounded would have probably spread fast. Especially among the faculty. But they have gotten the full answer, or...]
...No. [There's not a thing anyone could do.]
no subject
Grimm was someone who respected the choices someone made in life, even if he personally disagreed with it. That would not change. But it hasn't stopped him from being extremely worried.
Like now. He remembered the last time Puella was down in the dumps before.]
Anything. Even if it is silly, I do not mind.
no subject
...I want Ekke back.
[Or undo the mistake she made.]
no subject
But no. Grimm respects Puella too much to lie to her.]
That...I am afraid I cannot do. Nor can I change what has come to past. Ekkehardt's survival is in his own hands now.
[It was a choice the man made and so the consequences are his.]
Do you wish to speak to me about what happened? I will listen to whatever you may have to say.
no subject
...He got hurt because of me. ['Hurt' sure is a loose word for somebody that self-destructed. And perhaps there was more to it than just that, but that was the only possible reason Puella could put together. It happened not long after she got the ice, and everything else got too chaotic and frantic to know what was going on.]
[But the fact remained, Puella was the one that got the most severely hurt. And things didn't really start to go bad until that point. All because she got too careless, when she said she wouldn't. And it cost that much.]

Whenever she does wake he stirs in his seat, moving to lean over the bed, take her hand, squeeze it-- assuming it's not hidden under blankets that is. In lieu of that, there's always brushing back her hair.]
Ay, Puelita... how're you holding, mija?
no subject
[She witnessed Ekkehardt's death again, possibly a more fever induced version of it. And who knows if it would be the only nightmare she would have tonight. Or even the only one of that incident if she is constantly brought in and out of sleep.]
[Nevertheless, the touch of Hector's hand calmed her down, before attempting to squeeze back. She lets out a small whine though - no real danger but still frustrated and miserable. It was easier to convey than with words.]
no subject
I know what you mean. Though not really on the sleeping part. Do you want to go back to bed or do you want to try and stay up for a bit?
[It would give him some idea of how to help and where to go from here. She didn't have class just yet so she wouldn't need to worry.]
no subject
...Can I stay up?
no subject
Si, mija. You don't have anywhere to go tomorrow. You should get rest, but I know you've been doing a lot of that. And I know things are hard right now.
no subject
It's hard to do anything...
[She's not so sure how much longer she can take this.]

Without showing any noticeable concern over his appearance—she's worried enough about what people might think of hers, what with the obvious signs of daemonic corruption and all—she changes course to approach, though she doesn't adjust her walking speed at all; she doesn't want to run the risk of spooking him by coming up too quickly.]
Do you need any help with that?
no subject
[In any case Kit abruptly stopped. Looked at her, looked at the box, and looked at her again. The English lessons were starting to pay off, since he understood most of that.]
...Can you? [He spoke with some kind of heavy German accent. He was half suspecting more of reaction, he wasn't so sure what to say.]
[Or you know, if Avery would get mad if he brought someone else along.]
no subject
I can. Here— [She reached out, but didn't take the box just yet, leaving Kit an opportunity to change his mind if he wanted.] Let me carry it, and show me where it needs to to go.
no subject
[And for a moment he just watches to make sure Desidera had it. Sort of half in awe - how can she lift that much?]
['where to go' - oh right.]
--This way! [Kit very quickly runs ahead. He seems...pretty joyful about it. This was much better than having to carry it on his own.]
no subject
Hopefully Kit knows to wait for her to catch up a bit before taking any turns that would put him out of her line of sight.]
no subject
[Once they made it to the Savant dorms he slowed down a bit. There was few people that came all the way over here, safe for the occasional faculty, so it felt safer for Kit to roam around. That and Avery's room was basically right there.]
[He got the door open and checked around inside first before letting Desidera in. It's all good!]
