It's October, and as Soleil is absolutely in on the whole 'spooky supernatural thing', they tend to take Halloween a bit more seriously as an occasion than other towns might.

There's plenty of excitingly colourful clothing. Even better, there's plenty of excitingly colourful costumes, ranging from 'good' to 'somewhat decent' to 'unashamedly tacky'. The only real struggle is picking where to go, and who gets goaded/dared/pressured into wearing something awful first.

And here I thought that sweater you made me wear last time we were here was the tackiest thing you could find. I am sadly proven wrong.

[ He sounds mildly disappointed at best. ]

I've never asked, but can you eat? It seems to vary from vampire to vampire. [ Asking the important questions, clearly. ]

And I do not strictly need to, no. But why would I deny myself to indulge in the creative things humanity has created over the years?

[Even if Grimm's definition of spicy food is...weird. Fire powers, man. But important questions or no, Ekkehardt's not distracting Grimm from what's really important here.]

We are here to find and wear the tackiest things we are able to find. Maybe I was wondering if you could find something worse then this. As a little contest.

[ He makes a half-thoughtful half-apprehensive sound. It's tempting, certainly, but if he agrees then he probably has to wear that.

And Grimm will take photos, because he always does. And there's other people here who he actually knows, so... ]

I'd be hard put to find anything tackier, I think. I don't have your sense for it.

[Oh he absolutely will take photos. There is no escaping that, contest or no.]

Wonderful, wonderful! If you desire an impartial judge then I would be happy to find someone. And of course if you win I will wear whatever you choose and vice versa.

[Ekkehardt is right in assuming he'll have an new, "interesting" sleepwear if he looses. But Grimm knows it goes both ways. There's no fun if he does not risk anything, after all.]

None of us are going to be exactly impartial. It's not worth the hassle, regardless.

[ He goes rummaging for something appropriately tacky. He comes up with a cardigan and a vest.

He presents them for inspection, his serious expression entirely unchanged. ]

That's the best I can offer you. Or worst, depending on your perspective.

[Ekkehardt playing the straight man to these antics has always been funny and Grimm laughs at his expression. He has to wonder what it would take to get him up on the stage for a routine between the two of them...]

These are delightfully hideous. I can feel how tacky they are without even touching them.

[But it puts him in a bit of a bind. All three of them are their own particular brand of Terrible. Let's see...]
