Cake Time! (Oct. 10th, Closed to Hieke)
[Reira's birthday... according to the files he's seen, it's coming up within a couple of days. Of course he's going to try to do something for her, and... well, he's got an idea, at least, for what can be done for the cake. When he thinks back to that one meeting...]

Hieke, may I ask you a favor?

An Invitation (Oct. 10th, UN: Ahania)
[And now the next part of his plan... Well, that's when he encounters a bit of a problem: he actually has no idea who Reira's friends are at this school. So... network it is.]

For those of you that are friends with Reira, her birthday is on the 12th. There will be a small get-together on floor three of the Lumière dorm for those who wish to celebrate with her.

Party Like It's Your Birthday (Oct. 12th)
[It... is in fact a small get-together, set up in the common room of Lum's third floor (though hopefully not spilling into any pumpkin carving going on that day). There's a cake, some soda, and V there with Reira. Come tell the birthday girl happy birthday!

OOC: Feel free to treat this as a general mingle prompt! V will be around to interact with people, but most of the focus is supposed to be on Reira since it's her birthday!!]

And Back to the Books
[Throughout the month, when birthday preparations aren't being made, V's mostly going to be found in his main haunt around the school--the library. He's largely focused on his reading or gathering books to go back to reading, but he'll greet anyone who approaches him.]

Reira's birthday is coming up and I was wondering if you could help me with a cake for her.

[Well, at least the mystery is solved quickly.]

Oh, sure. Do you have any idea what kind of cake?

Not especially. She's just fond of sweets in general...

Well, that makes things easier! Won't have to worry about fucking up so much.

When do you want to make it?

[Okay, he snorted a bit (not that Hieke can hear that).]

Her birthday is the 12th, so today or tomorrow would be ideal.

Well, I'm free whenever you are. Just stop by my apartment when you're ready - and don't worry about the ingredients.

[And it doesn't take too long for V to show up at Hieke's apartment, knocking on the door.]

[Hieke answers the door, mushrooms in tow, and he gives V a soft smile.]

So, I should have asked this earlier, but...have you baked before?

[V returns the smile, though it turns a bit sheepish at the question.]

It's been... quite the long time. Long enough that it was debatable how much good I actually was in the kitchen.

[So basically: not since he was a tiny and trying to "help" his mother in the kitchen.]

[Oh, no. He's cute when he's embarrassed.

Hieke shakes his head, smile softening just a bit.]

Well, I'm sure it'll be fine. I've made plenty of cakes - I'm pretty good at it by now.

[It happens with centuries of experience.

He steps back from the door, motioning for V to step inside and make himself comfortable. The apartment is the same as all faculty apartments provided by the school - but it's a little cluttered. The furniture is a haphazard mix of styles and ages, there are stacks of books about medicine scattered about, and some odd knickknacks that are definitely from the Outlands if not outright daemonic.]

That's reassuring.

[His smile widens a bit as he steps inside. He glances around, a curious glint to his eyes, before turning his attention to the mushrooms. Hello little friends--]

[The mushrooms seem both excited to see V and confused by his presence. Hieke doesn't get a lot of visitors! This is new!

Hieke, meanwhile, makes his way to the apartment's kitchen, where he's already set out what he thinks they'll need.]
