Students of Daybreak, the signs are clear. A new Herald approaches, and I have no illusions that our attempt to destroy it before it can gather it's full power will go well. That is why I will be teaching you a technique that I have been reluctant to: Power Slash, the domain of Tachigami.

I want you all to promise me something: that you will never use this technique against any living being you do not intend to kill. Power Slash is the greatest cutting force in the world, able to sever most anything in two. Like so.

[A swift movement from the Goddess, a single stroke, and the boulder slams to the ground in two pieces.]

It's among the simplest Brush Techniques, merely a single line, but it is also the most dangerous. Do not use it carelessly.

Yes, is is quite fortunate. As the origin of the Brush Gods I do not necessarily need to call on my children to use their techniques, so I learned to be very careful with Power Slash while still being swift.

Yes, Tachigami is a warrior above all else. A good example of how appearances can be deceiving, that mouse is a match for the most legendary of swordsmen. Power Slash is one of the few techniques that can only be used as a weapon.

Well, I say few, but really it's the only one. Even Bakugami's Cherry Bomb can be used in other ways. Power Slash, whatever the reasons for using it, will only cut. It can be used constructively, such as for farming and the like, but it will always be a tool of harm.

Well, you can use it on inanimate objects all you want so long as you're careful to not get anything else caught up in it. You can practice Rejuvenation at the same time!

Does this technique REQUIRE a giant paintbrush, or will it work with a sword or spear?

It's a brush technique, it needs a brush. Ink as well. It's essentially "painting" on the "canvas" that is the world. It also requires a certain amount of trust in the Brush God of the technique, so I hope you're okay with asking for help from other pantheons if you want to learn this.

Essentially, only things with powerful magic protections. It is possible to block it with an ordinary weapon, but only once.

As for Tachigami, he's my second eldest son. He's the Mouse god of Cutting Force, and he understands the food chain so don't worry.

Yes, any brush will do. It and ink are all you need, they don't have to be specially made.

< Cool. > [Very.] < I've got to remember that for missions, it's something I can actually carry. >

It doesn't even really have to be a proper brush, I use my tail when I incarnate as a wolf. Luckily, divine fur doesn't stain.
