Who: Rover & You!
When: Early November
Where: Various spots around campus and Soleil
What: Rover was created, and now they're a student.
Warnings: There shouldn't be any! Unless we need to warn about cigarette use like in video game ratings.
lumiere;
[There's a new resident in Lumiere - though they don't seem to have much in the way of things to actually move in. It simply goes from room 101 being empty one day to someone being in that room. And it's...hard to ignore them. They cheerfully greet everyone they see in the dorm, and they seem kind of smug about the whole thing? What's there to be smug about with moving into a dorm? What a weirdo.
Still, at least once it's time for bed they're quiet.]
campus;
I miss the geese.
[Says a voice from your left - or maybe your right. Rover is currently lounging on a bench, lit cigarette in hand. They're looking out over the grounds, and they seem...disappointed.]
The geese were great! Why'd they have to go and eat them?
[They sigh, taking a drag.]
Damn humans.
the anvil;
[What kind of unique prototype would they be if they didn't try to create something to fill the void in their heart for being one of a kind and lonely?
Well, they'd be someone completely different, because that's not what Rover is planning on doing. Rover does have a project in mind, though whatever it is is much simpler than another sentient creation. They're huddled over a mass of wires, grinning to themself as they fiddle with things.]
Just a little bit longer...
[Yesss. Yessss!!!]
Perfect!
[They pick up their finished product, which looks an awful lot like a teddy bear, and grin.]
soleil;
[You know what time it is? Time to get clothes. The school uniform is nice and all, and stealing clothes from Rex has...well. They can't exactly wear the clothes of someone two and a half feet taller than them on a regular basis. They can try, and are basically wearing one of Rex's shirts as a dress right now, but it's not ideal.
So, with money they've acquired through...questionably legal means, they've gone to Soleil to shop. They don't have any sort of goal in mind, though they do look curious about all of the racks on display.]
Do people actually like this shit?
[Geez. It's so scratchy.]
Damn.
[This is...going to take a while.]
wildcard;
[Throw whatever you want at me! Or, if you want to plan something out, hit me up at
daintily or on Discord at Avery#8156!]

Aaaand then he's gotta pause.]
Huh. You ain't one? Or just a cynical bastard?
no subject
[You can be cynical and non-human at the same time!]
no subject
[The bastard factor is definitely high, regardless of cynicism or humanity.]
no subject
They take a drag, shrugging their shoulders.]
I don't know, do I look human?
no subject
Don't most people here? You think I'm fucking stupid, kid?

Is there anything I can help you with...?
no subject
Don't think so, Gramps, unless you've got any idea where a guy can get some smokes.
[Rover does not have lungs. They have an approximation of lungs, but they suffer no effects from smoking.
That does not explain where they picked up the habit.]
no subject
[ The nickname gives him pause, enough for it to show slightly on his face, but he doesn't outwardly say anything about it. That Sure Is Overly Familiar, Though. ]
You're just going to have to go look for them like all the other students who've developed bad habits around here, I'm afraid.
no subject
[It's not like they have lungs to get diseased or anything.]
Guess this gives me a reason to go out to town, huh?
no subject
It's good to get acquainted with a place you'll be staying in for a while, so while I can't order you around, I would suggest exploring, yes.
You must be very new. I don't think I've seen you around before...?

lumiere;
... Hi?
no subject
Hey, kid.
[For as much as anyone in this place counts as a kid anymore, they suppose.]
You trying to be a soldier too?
no subject
Nope. Not in the sense you're probably thinking, anyway. [She isn't much of a fighter. Can't really be, not with this body, and not with her particular abilities.
She still doesn't know how her power interacts with the undead.] I'm more a healer than anything else.no subject
Not that that's readily obvious.]
Ah. Combat medic, then. Gotcha. [They reach into their pocket, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. They shake one free, seemingly not concerned about the fact they're still in the dorms.] You got a light?
no subject
[Most people would take one look at her and give her a very loud NO if she even bothered to try, and that's not to mention how she doesn't feel like trying to find out if it's something that could even be affected by the way her healing ability is constantly in effect on herself.]
Not sure if you should be doing that while indoors, though. [And there's the callout. It's in a pretty neutral tone, though, as she doesn't really feel like pushing the issue, so it's more a suggestion than anything else.]

In all honesty I’m unsure why you’d not ask for special accommodation. You’d surely receive it.
no subject
Isn't it important to get the full experience? Learn how to love and all that?
no subject
[ Love never fired a particle cannon into the moon.
Rex pops open the suitcase, pulling out a funky little machine. Looks very mad science. Tesla coils and everything. ]
Emergency fusion battery. Don’t use the mains, they’ll probably give me the bill.
no subject
[They've done their research!
They make grabby hands for the machine.]
Yeah, yeah, and you'd hate that.
no subject
[ Rex hands it over. It's exactly as advertised- a teeny little fusion reactor. Rex might not entirely understand how his child works (what parent does?) but ultra compacting stuff that should be waaaay larger he has at least got a good handle on. ]
I do not wish to be beholden to the school for a power bill comparable to rest of the campus's usage, no.

So he's over in his own station, working on that, which looks fairly spartan, but highly functional; a flat surface, with three prongs coming up presumably meant to transfer power wirelessly. The whole device is runed up too, and it's just about done when Rover's "Perfect" hits his ears, and he looks over the workstation wall to them, seeing the teddy bear.
...He has questions.]
It... it's a teddy bear? What... exactly did you do?
[There's way, way too many wires at the workstation for it to be anything ordinary.]
no subject
I made it perfect.
[Obviously.]
This little baby has enough firepower in it to take down a building.
no subject
Why.... why would you need a teddy bear with that? ....And what did you even load into it? It's not just a bomb is it? 'Cause the forge does have rules about that.
no subject
no subject
[Because there are some very familiar vibes coming here....]
And I'm fairly certain the use-case for a teddy bear blowing up an enemy base is fairly small, isn't it? ...And how would it even do that if it wasn't a bomb? Don't tell me you put some sort of laser weapon in it...
