[Ammy brings the class outside and makes a gesture with her brush. A short wind blows the clouds away, revealing the clear sky.]

Hello everyone! Today's lesson will be an important one, for me as well as you. The Heralds seek to bring eternal night, so I believe it will be important for all of you to keep a bit of Day with you. Today, I will be teaching my own personal Brush Technique: Sunrise.

[She points her brush to the sky and makes a circle with it. Sure enough, the Sun appears in the sky, shining brightly for a time before disappearing.]

It is possible for this technique to even alter the cycle of night and day, but that is a power that I myself have sealed away outside of the most dire of emergencies. Instead, it will briefly summon the power of the Sun to anywhere you use it. But please, do try to be considerate of your allies who don't like sunlight.

[As the circle completes, Ammy's Divine Markings glow. A minature sun appears in the air he drew in in a burst of light. It shines down on the courtyard for several seconds, slightly warming the air, before disappearing.]

[The warmth that fills the air for the brief moment seems to carry hope itself within it- it touches the soul, and practically brings tears to the eyes before it's gone and his teacher is complimenting his work.]

[Here's that bird again, asking his usual questions. Getting ahead of himself. Other classes, he'll sit and listen, but there's something about painting the world to be different that appeals to him.]

< Is there a way to do the same thing with night? >

Yes, that would be the Crescent technique. Yumigami has put the same restraints on it that I have on Sunrise, so there won't be any turning day into night once you've learned it either.

< People would definitely notice that, I understand. Actually turning night into day or the other way around, I mean. >

< Will you ever teach the Crescent one the way you're teaching the sun one? Just to darken a room or something? >

Of course! Night isn't inherently bad, it's just that many beings who are vulnerable to the Sun lurk in it. Crescent will be included in these lessons, it's just as important as the other twelve.
