Who: Jolyne and open (closed prompt for Jonathan)
When: Sometime in November, idk
Where: Various places. Some empty room, the quad, etc.
What: Hamon training! More stupid dancing garbage! Training! Really bad memories time!
Warnings: Jolyne is Jolyne, as always. CW: drugs on the D prompt.
A. Dancing
As per usual, Jolyne can be found pretty easily outside practicing her ridiculous dance moves. Anyone who has been paying attention is probably more than familiar with her nonsense at this point. The song and dance for the day is kind of a little raunchy in lyrics but less so in the moves. A weirder one for her, certainly, and not as bombastic and loud as her stuff normally is.
As usual, she can be grabbed after she's done and taking a water break. With Stone Free, as usual, chilling out not too far away.
B. Training
Jolyne is the easiest to always find in the Legionnaire Quarters, as always punching the absolute hell out of a punching bag, swimming in the pool despite the weather outside, or jogging.
However, this time she's also seen... lifting weights? Weird and new, but why not. It seems her weights range from smaller weights up to something that would almost never be seen on someone with her body type. She doesn't seem to be having a whole lot of issues with this whole thing, especially since those who are paying attention my notice the strings wrapped around her wrists and on the weights themselves.
What the hell is she even doing?
C. Garage
Mechanics club was kind of a come or go sort of thing, Jolyne not particularly caring if someone really wanted to get involved or not. It was a formality to keep up with the whole list of those in the club proper, since she'd only really done the club in the first place to get access to parts she wouldn't noramlly get a hold of. But she's pretty easily found in there, working on her bike that... at least has a basic skeleton going on for it.
In fact, she's found in clothing that isn't her normal. Instead it seems to be a white (or formally white, now stained with oil and the like) shirt that's rolled up to her elbows and a pair of jeans that are just as covered. And goddamned black boots. Her hair is out of its usual style and instead tied back in a simple ponytail.
Anyone that bothers to check on her will find her hard at work and focused on getting the engine on this thing fine tuned. Or maybe it's better to not interrupt her while she seems something other than irritated at the world.
D. Greenhouse, potential CW: drugs
It hadn't been her idea to plant these, not in the slightest, but she'd... kind of inherited this particularly hidden little plot. A small crop of marijuana and mushrooms. She didn't know shit about how mushrooms worked, so she'd sort of let them go a bit with the least heavy hand possible while instead working on the crop she was far more familiar with.
Despite the falling out, despite the way things went, she at least was going to try and keep something alive that she was left with. And, despite everything, she actually was doing a fairly good job at keeping them alive and somehow not being found out.
She wasn't using it, of course not, but it was something to do and see how everything turned out.
Though anyone passing by might hear some music playing in the background. Certainly not something to be growing plants to, right?
E. Hamon training (closed to Jonathan)
This was stupid, the whole idea was absolutely stupid. But her great x3 grandfather had promised to teach her this whole... hamon or whatever thing. And she'd been debating on going through with it or not, she didn't mind learning something new, necessarily. But if she learned this, wouldn't this make her more of a target for them to keep her around? Ugh.
Ultimately she's determined that she might as well see how this goes, if it's utter bullshit then she can leave. It's not like a bat can stop her, anyway. She's even been nice enough to keep Stone Free unsummoned for the time being.
But she's prompt and on time, if nothing else, slipping into this empty classroom and frowning as she leans against the now closed door.
"This better be worth my time, I could be doing literally anything else."

Just because you're always self-taught doesn't mean it won't turn into an issue now or in the future. Hell, for my own shit I wish I had had someone there to explain what was going on instead of having to run head-first into everything and get my shit wrecked while doing so. [But that might just be here, she's not... too sure if this makes any sense to anyone else at this point.]
I just. I dunno. What if one of the random side-effects causes some real issue and you're out by yourself or something? [Nor is she sure why she's this concerned about it.]
no subject
But Therion pulls his scarf up even further, all the way over the end of his nose, because he also remembers what disappearing felt like, how viscerally afraid he was that he might stop existing. What if that happens again, and he's alone?]
...Well. Would you want to be there, then?
[Like it's no big deal. Like he's not still half-hiding in his scarf and keeping his eyes trained ahead.]
Since you're already teaching me the dance half of it, anyway.
no subject
It's not the best of thoughts and thankfully his actions and words pull her out of her thoughts, blinking slowly at that question.
Man, she wasn't supposed to get remotely attached.]
Might as well, if it keeps you from dying out there somehow. [She might not be much help if he ends up in another plane or something, but everything else she can probably handle. The one good thing about taking up training with her great x3 grandfather, maybe there's some healing method to that she could figure out if it became an actual situation.
She absolutely doesn't have a bit of color to her cheeks or tips of her ears, of course not.]

[Yup. Cool. This doesn't have to be so dramatic, with the blushing and the obvious averting of the gaze, it's not like he's formally putting his life in her hands or anything. It's just. You know. A sensible precaution. And he's got his uses to her, so the chances are pretty good she'll help him out if he messes himself up. It's fine.
After a long enough pause, he clears his throat.]
Who knows. Maybe you'll finally get to show off that upper body strength of yours one day and haul my ass back to Aube like a sack of potatoes.
no subject
Because, really, she can't help an actual laugh from that last bit. God, with everything that's been going on, she might actually have to haul his ass back to the dorms at some point or another.]
Too bad you'd probably be passed out or so out of it that it doesn't register, huh? What a damn shame. [At this point she might as well be a goddamned Amazonian, which is a ridiculous thought in and of itself, but not really wrong.]
But we'll see, just lemme know when you decide to start on this insane bullshit mission?
no subject
[F...friendship, level up...?]
no subject
Aw, how sweet. Since I actually kind of keep to a routine, some fucking how. [Mostly yelling at the gym in the ass o'clock hours.]
no subject
So maybe... after classes sometime? I don't really have any formal engagements, so. I can just come up and knock, see if you're busy. Doesn't have to be a huge deal.
no subject
Sounds good to me, not like I do much other than the two clubs. Even then I can just kinda come and go as I please. [Give one is literally fight club and the other is the one she fucking runs. It's fine.]
I'll try and be good and keep in mind what we're doing. [Instead of getting distracted by him coming to her room, it's fine.]
no subject
Well. If you can't, that's fine, too.
[The only deadline they have is the end of the world, and, really, isn't that as good a reason as any to take their time and enjoy themselves?]
no subject
You're not supposed to encourage that~ [She certainly doesn't mind him doing so, though. Since, surely, there's nothing at all wrong in what they do. If they're both enjoying the whole mess and they're hurting literally no one else, then what does it matter?]
no subject
[#yolo and all that.]
no subject
Clearly.]
I'm sure just one time won't make you become Jack Torrance or whatever. [... Of course she'd know that reference. Of course she would.]
no subject
On the other hand, Therion doesn't even have a last name.]
What? Who?
no subject
But she's slowly blinking at him, oh boy.]
Jack Torrance. One of the main characters of The Shining by Stephen King...?
no subject
[After a beat, he glances at her again and huffs a soft laugh.]
It's not like I did a lot of reading in English before I came here.
no subject
Yeah, it's also a movie. A lot of his shit has been turned into movies. Like, uh... Carrie, Cujo, Christine, Pet Sematary, Misery... Just to name a few. They're all pretty fucking good, honestly.
[Ignore that second one, Therion, for the love of all that is good.]
God, I keep fuckin' forgetting that's not your first damn language. I don't know why.
no subject
I take it as a compliment. My accent is just that good.
[It's not boasting when it's true.]
no subject
You're such a fucking nerd, oh my god. [There's no malice even remotely there, so there's that at least?]
You should see them sometime, though, they're honestly pretty good movies. And books, for that matter...
no subject
[He's grinning. Neither one of them fits the bookish mold, do they?]
Nerd.
no subject
In my defense, I had a lot of downtime in jail and prison and shit, you know? [She actually was doing this way before then, but like fuck if she's going to admit to that.]
'Sides, King's novels are pretty good if you're into that sort of thing. Like, for instance, Christine is about a possessed car killing people. It's pretty bad-ass. [Raise your hand if you're at all surprised this is the one she'd fixate on.]
no subject
Vehicular manslaughter, huh? Sounds like fun. When I have time to read, I might pick up a mystery, but honestly, I'd rather hear people tell their own stories.
[He shrugs and puts his hands in his pockets to keep them warm.]
Listening leaves my hands free to work. I don't like to sit around and do nothing.
no subject
Vehicular manslaughter where the culprit is the actual damn car itself, it's pretty wild. Mysteries are... I don't know, they tend to frustrate me a bit. [Because she has literally no patience in these sorts of things, nor is she fond of how stupid characters can be in them.
Which is hilarious, coming from her.]
But if you're reading, you're not doing nothing? But I guess I get where you're coming from with that...
no subject
[He rolls his neck idly. Comfortably.]
...Guess it's more like, I like to do something physical or make something. Sometimes I carve things out of wood. Or practice switching hands when I write. Things like that.
no subject
Gotcha. I feel that, I guess reading that kind of shit is the only time I'm ever really sitting still, dunno why, because otherwise I'm always working on something or doing something physical.
But that shit can stop me in my tracks for a good few hours or something, if I let it.
