Who: Anyone!
What: Time to gather some meteors!
When: Early/Mid January are the most likely, but anytime in January
Where: In dem hills
Warnings: Snow...
Puella had been keeping an eye on the meteor shower that was supposed to happen for quite some time. How could she not? This was exactly the kind of stuff she lived for. But it was an event that just kept getting better. Not only could she see a bunch of stars at one time, but a bunch of them fell in the mountains, and the school was outright encouraging anyone to go get them. To keep.
Puella got to own real stars of her very own. Who cares about the Anvil - these were going into a personal collection!
It did not take much effort at all to get her to climb up into the peaks to search for where ever those meteorites had landed. Luckily she came prepared for the job - it was kind of rushed but she put together a child sized mining cap with some enchants to locate rare ores. It should lead her to the good stuff. You know, kind of off the track and where the snowbanks had been growing. It's a damn good thing she did bring a mining cap because most of that snow was probably taller than she was, and she pretty much sank right in.
...And also that she was wearing a cloak that always kept her warm. That, that probably helped a ton too.
Every so often she could be seen hoping in the snow to get around or borrowing deeper. Sometimes popping up unexpectedly to startle people. Yes this was a very serious mission but it was slowly turning into a time to play too. Snow is generally supposed to be fun!
"Hii there~!"

"Hii there~!"

She pulled herself out of the snow tunnel to move towards that direction. She had...a good feeling about this. Her cap acting a bit funny, so his directions had to be correct.

Zagreus might be cold, but he was also a big guy. He led the way, stomping a path through the snow so that it would already be packed down when Puella followed.
"Zagreus, by the way. What's your name?"
no subject
"Puella!" she was happy to respond.
"I never lived underground before... Do you like stars too?"
If he hadn't seen that many, she could understand why!

He chuckled, slightly. "But I do like that I get to decide for myself now that I'm up here. My father always spoke scathingly of everything the surface has to offer. 'A windswept wasteland' he called it."
A little known fact: there is no wind in the underworld.
no subject
Is that what he meant to mean?
"It's okay though. I never got to see the stars that often either. Not until I moved to the school."
There's a joke here somewhere about London weather.

Though as he said this, he had to look around the snowy mountains surrounding them. "Maybe this part is a bit of a wasteland, but not the rest of it."
no subject
Snow and mountains and wilderness was kind of fun...sometimes. They were places that were exploreable.
It's kind of funny, she has probably seen non-Earthly places by now that were more wasteland-y than this.

Zagreus stopped in front of a hole in the snow a few feet across. It was already half full, but it was clear there had been some kind of impact here not too long ago. "Anyways, I'm not sure what it is, but this is it!"

With that, she moves forward and saw the weird displacement of snow. Something sure did land here, even if it was covered up by now. She had to follow the pinging sound her mining cap was making to know what direction to go in.
Flop and diggy diggy. "....I found something!!"
It looked kinda like a rock but also not a rock from the little snow hole she dug out. It's rather heavy.

There was no denying that it held material wealth within it, but...there was something that felt OFF about it. This was not part of the wealth of the Earth. It was something alien.
After a moment, he handed the space rock back to Puella. "Now that's what I call a strange rock."
no subject
"It looks nothing like a star..."
She feels a little bit gypped. Although despite that, it was still kinda neat. At least.

She tries to toss it a little in the air. It does feel funnier than most other rocks would. And it looks different too.
"Even if it's not shaped like a star - that's really cool!!"
Just a weird, space rock.
no subject
He shivered again. "Well, I found it, so it should stop bugging me now. I'm going to head back towards the school. This is no place for people to stay."
no subject
"Don't you want it?"
He did find the rock first...only fair to have first dibs on it.

"They did say we could make things out of them."
Or something to that effect.

no subject
"Magical things, probably."

"I'll make sure to keep it forever then!"
