AUBE DORMS
[Around Aube dormitory, one might have easily missed the guy wandering around half-dead during the lead up to midterms. Tadashi made himself scarce to study and work on his projects. Now though? With it over? He's easily found in the common area with a book over his face asleep or ..still wandering around half-dead in a daze. Hey, guy's got a lot going on to study for. Make sure he doesn't take the last of the communal coffee. He may apologize if he bumps into you without looking.
If the music or talking is too loud next door to Room 404, he may come ask whoever it is to quiet down.]
CAFE DE LA LUNE
[The cafe is nice, well tended, and perfect for a grad student trying to focus. He's got his corner table, his laptop and notebooks, and half-empty mug of room temperature coffee forgotten while he works. Occasionally he'll stand and stretches his legs, take a little walk around the room before sitting back down and ordering a refill. Every now and then there's a frustrated grumbling from his corner, likely a script not working right, before he buckles down and gets back to it.]
QUAD
[You know what every STEM student needs? Some time outside. And Tadashi does like it. Out on the quad, sure he has his bag with all his work. But he's also got his water bottle and a soft rubber ball. Okay, sue him, he's tossing it between the ground and the side of the building and catching it. He's pretty focused on it for the time being. On a different day, he's sitting in the grass, book in hand reading. Does the guy ever stop?]

[Don't... mind if he sips the coffee in front of you, Kohaku.]

[Staring at his coffee like cat at a laser pointer. At least until the new pot finishes.]
It's all over the place back home.

No, never had it. Energy drink, or something like it?

[As she spoke she wandered off back to her room just around the corner to get a bottle. She was back a few seconds later so the conversation didn't just end there. Kohaku put the bottle down on the counter and went back to staring at the coffee pot.]
Little taste of home in a bottle.

[He's not about to set his coffee down, but he leans in to look at it. Not touching it, he doesn't just touch other people's things, but it's interesting.]
Must be nice to have. [And he means that, sincerely.]

[Okay coffee's up. Kohaku poured herself a cup, then poured the energy drink into the coffee, then sipped it like that wasn't a completely fucking insane thing to do.]
Are you the guy who moved into 404 and plays music at weird hours?
no subject
[Yeah, that's the takeaway here. He thought he'd kept it down, but maybe noise travels in this building.]
Sorry. Normally I'm in the lab working, but I was told to "get outside the lab more".

[Precious caffeine... The psychological effect alone is making her feel more personable already.][]
Kohaku Yuhara. I'm your neighbor.

[He can tell! He smiles a little and sips his coffee.]
If you get anymore of that lipovitan, I'd like to try it. In the future. [When he can prepare for a potential heart attack.]

[Slooooow sip of his coffee.]
I'm not from Japan. Never been, actually.

Sorry you look Japanese so I assumed-

[The accent sounded American by her best guess.]

[He sounds fond more than anything, even of those horrible hills.]
I'm glad you got to visit it.
