AUBE DORMS

[Around Aube dormitory, one might have easily missed the guy wandering around half-dead during the lead up to midterms. Tadashi made himself scarce to study and work on his projects. Now though? With it over? He's easily found in the common area with a book over his face asleep or ..still wandering around half-dead in a daze. Hey, guy's got a lot going on to study for. Make sure he doesn't take the last of the communal coffee. He may apologize if he bumps into you without looking.

If the music or talking is too loud next door to Room 404, he may come ask whoever it is to quiet down.]

CAFE DE LA LUNE

[The cafe is nice, well tended, and perfect for a grad student trying to focus. He's got his corner table, his laptop and notebooks, and half-empty mug of room temperature coffee forgotten while he works. Occasionally he'll stand and stretches his legs, take a little walk around the room before sitting back down and ordering a refill. Every now and then there's a frustrated grumbling from his corner, likely a script not working right, before he buckles down and gets back to it.]

QUAD

[You know what every STEM student needs? Some time outside. And Tadashi does like it. Out on the quad, sure he has his bag with all his work. But he's also got his water bottle and a soft rubber ball. Okay, sue him, he's tossing it between the ground and the side of the building and catching it. He's pretty focused on it for the time being. On a different day, he's sitting in the grass, book in hand reading. Does the guy ever stop?]

[ Noise, you say? Well there's a whole bunch of noise coming from right outside Tadashi's window. Some idiot has managed to crash right into it - not breaking anything, thankfully, but definitely connecting with a loud thud. ]

Ow. Oops.

[PETER....

The noise comes through his headphones and he peeks up, deadeyed and sluggish to the world. But something's at his window and Tadashi gets up to look.]

...Unbelievable. Hold on-- Opening the window. [And just for Peter, he'll open it up, reaching to help him inside.] What are you doing out there?

[ He's completely unhurt at least. Though he appreciates the hand inside. ]

Testing out a new web fluid formula. It, uh. Needs work.

You think so?

[Once he's in, Tadashi closes the window and sits back down watching him.] Not hurt, right?

Oh yeah, no problem. I'm pretty sturdy 'cause of the spider powers and stuff.

[ Also the being dead part which. Makes this less fun to brag about wow. ]

[It's nine in the morning, clearly a time for no reasonable person to be awake if you asked Kohaku. BUT the world was full of unreasonable people and she had class in an hour so here she was shambling like a zombie towards the communal coffee pot. And just sort of...mindlessly walking into Tadashi. Oh. There's someone else here.]

[There was only one cup's worth of coffee left in the pot, which might lead to a problem.]

[Haha.... Yeah he's been up all night, and he still has a lecture, and then he can sleep. The pot sloshes a little in his hand when Kohaku bumps into him and he stumbles a little.]

[Kohaku doesn't have that excuse, she's just not a morning person. She yawned hard enough for her jaw to pop.]

'sokay. Need coffee. Or energy drinks.

Oh.

[You mean this coffee? That he just poured the last of into his mug? Uh.]

..Energy drink may be better.

[Kohaku gave Tadashi a Look. Then she stared blankly at the coffee maker for about ten seconds before slowly starting to start a new pot brewing.]

Think I've got some Lipovitan left...

*Don't mind the fact that your floor R.A. is sitting in the common room. Carving sigils into bullets. Everything is perfectly normal and nothing is wrong.*

Is this just overdoing it on studying or are you dying?

*She does care she just- is kinda rough and shows it by calling everyone a dumbass. Usually their fault.*

[He doesn't move or get the book off his face, he just talks from underneath it.]

Maybe both? That's possible.

If you're dying from overdoing it on studying that's not my problem.

*She can't murder studying. Thus it is not her problem.*

*Funny how she isn't studying, possibly due to the fact she's got no classes this semester due to her time away. It is going to suck when she has to help grade papers later.*

[Hey, other people are living their lives, it's not his business if someone does or doesn't study or not.

He does shift the book a little bit to turn the page, then lets it fall right back over his eyes.]

Room 404

[Maybe it's during the morning, or maybe Jinx decided to sleep in and woke up closer to noon. Whichever the case, she claims the bathroom for a good long while and refuses to give it up.

The reason? Her hair.

She has so much of it, and getting it combed and dried after a shower is time-consuming and then some.

So here's hoping nobody needed to use the bathroom for all that time.

It's when Jinx finally steps out that she notices him.]

What? You waiting or something?

[Waiting a few minutes that morning? Sure, no problem.

Waiting longer than that? Is a pain and look he's really got to pee? Maybe co-ed dorms were supposed to help the housing situation but in practice may not be the best idea.

Jinx finally gets out and he's leaning against the door, arms loosely crossed and trying not to look annoyed.]

It's possible. [Excuse him for a whole two minutes.]

[Jinx doesn't really think much of it. The idea that she was inconveniencing someone.

When does she ever?

Instead, she just keeps on walking by.]

Aube Dorms

[By all accounts, Bowser really has no reason to be here. His dorm is quite a ways off. However, Mario is the custodian of this place and thus it's Bowser's job to be as petty as possible. So he snatched up one of the brooms when the plumber wasn't looking and was planning to hide it somewhere. It still is his plan, but bumping into someone slowed that down considerably. Probably should have been paying more attention.]

You always go barreling down the hallway without paying attention?

[Asks the giant turtle dragon who was also wasn't paying attention. And is carrying a broom for some reason.]

[Oh god.

He was walking hyperfocused because he thought it'd be rude to leave a single swallow of coffee left in the coffee pot so he poured it with the rest in his cup but it filled it to the very brim and he doesn't want to spill any of it but oh god.

Someone bumped into him.

And it goes flying. Mug and all. It's too early and he's too tired and the calendar is inching closer and closer to a date he doesn't want to think about and oh god.]

Ah! [That's about all he can say before there's a clatter and then the sound of ceramic breaking on the floor. His shoulders sag and he just deflates there on the spot.]

...I'm sorry, didn't really think about it.

[I guess that's what happens when you smack into a wall with legs. Bowser was about to say something, but the mug flying through the air and then smashing into pieces cut him off. There's a few brief seconds of silence before he...laughs?]

Oh, nice! Another mess Mario will have to clean up. Apology accepted, kid. You just made my day.

[Ren is still in a daze himself. Did he do a decent job on his exams? Honestly, as much as he studied he can't tell and will have to stew in anxiety for a bit.

For now, though, he's looking for a place to read. Usually the common room is a good spot.

Except there's someone asleep here. That's unusual. It's also something Ren would never do. How can someone be so relaxed in a place so open? Should he wake up the person?]

[Someone is so relaxed because all the stress of midterms is just. Gone. He has about two days before it kicks up again and he gets back to work but for now? He's not thinking.

He isn't asleep though. He calls out from under his book.]

I can move if you need me to.

[He hadn't expected a response at all and he starts a little bit.]

No, it's...it's all right. I just don't usually see people sleeping here.

[Or looking like they're sleeping, anyway.]

Aube Dorms

[It's a common sight around here. If Lumiere should be known for trouble them maybe Aube should be known for students passed out in the open. The sight makes him snort and shake his head. At least it's not a kid this time, but someone closer to his age. Or, what was his age. Still technically is but-- ah, whatever.

His cane taps along the ground as he makes his approach. It's a final warning before he lifts the book up.]

You know, I hear the beds aren't the worst in the world. Just a thought.

[You remember this guy, Tadashi? It's that TA guy who still looks half-dead.]

[Adelaide probably spends more time in the sun than she really needs to - it's not like the sun is good for her. But habits are hard to break, so she finds herself out on the grounds more often than not.

It's fine. Probably fine.

She's seen Tadashi out and about a few times by now - and while she considers saying something most days, she pushes it off. Then, finally, her nosiness gets the best of her and she makes her way over to him one of the days when he's just reading.]
