WHO: Avery Atchison, Jailbreak, Goro Akechi, Bendy, Maya Matlin, Puella Tempus, Ekkehardt Gehring, Héctor, Gunvolt
WHAT:WHEN: May 21
WHERE: A museum in Germany
WARNINGS: Will update as needed.
For all the high tech security the museum is said to house, the building itself is very old--the sort of outside and inside one would come to expect from a museum, really: tall columns, marble floors, high ceilings, even a few dinosaur exhibits here and there.
This late at night one might expect the guards to be a half step away from sleep, but they're wide awake and professional, if currently a little bored.
The mission is simple in theory: grab the crown and shackles, replace them with fakes, and get out. But between all the shiny, magical distractions to be found and a rival group of professional thief mages, things might get tricky.

"...Maybe I will wait."
no subject
"Alright." He asks carefully, "Would you like me to talk to him for you? Or would you rather wait it out all around?"
no subject
"If he might listen to you better, you should do it."
Besides, at the moment it seemed that Héctor knew about the ghost better than she did.
no subject
He glances around the room. "We should hurry along. Was there anything else in here the caught your eye at all?"
no subject
"Oh...right!" she remembered. There was something else she found in the bottom of the box, before she was distracted by the lantern turning on. She will have to climb part way up the shelf again, but she didn't need the mask to relocate it.
It's some kind of small contraption she pulled out, whatever it is...
"There's something up with this, but I dunno what."
no subject
There's also a bit of nervousness as she pulls out the next object. Okay. He could reset himself and all these burns later. He sucks a breath and reaches out, eyes squeezed shut as he just barely taps the top of it. Nothing. He opens his eyes and touches the contraption again.
"...Seems alright. Still intact." He is, that is. "Is there anything written on it? A manual? Maybe it's a paper weight."
no subject
She used the mask again to look for any other clues what it might be for. Sure enough, there was some runes etched into it, though it took some time to find them. They were just as cryptic as the last pair on the lantern, so it doesn't really help anything. So she took the mask back off again. "...I think I can turn this one on too."
In case it was going to be a laser, or something else, Puella pointed it at the floor away from both of them. It's really a good thing it wasn't a weapon at all since a beam came out from the top anyway. ...Though it was startling.
The beam expanded, forming a large harmless 'bubble' around them. As it grew there was even smaller lights appearing within, and clouds of various colors. It was as though looking up at a really starry sky, or a telescope...only better. Which made Puella finally realize what this was.
"This is...!!"
no subject
"I think it's a star map," He says, with some disbelief. Better than any star map he's seen. He starts looking for any sort of pattern he can recognize.
"Maybe the southern hemisphere? I don't see the north star."
no subject
Either way, this was some damn cool. It's not every day you can just stick your hand in a nebula and slightly move it around. "We gotta bring this back with us!"
no subject
He turns in time to catch her swirling about a nebula and he laughs. He probably shouldn't be encouraging more theft from the museum but...
"It's definitely a magic artifact. And the rules do say we're not allowed to let normal people have this stuff." He flashes a sly grin her way.
no subject
"Hmmm..... Even if we aren't allowed to bring it back, it could always be our little secret~"
The museum wasn't even using it. So how bad could it be?
no subject
It's only a few moments more before it hits him. He snaps his fingers.
"The Outlands!" He blurts. "It's a star map of the Outlands!"
no subject
"Is it?" Looking at it again isn't going to change a thing, but Puella does it anyway. She had never really seen the Outlands sky, but it also looked nothing like the other one.
"Theirs is completely different?" That even more exciting!
no subject
"Si! I mean, I think so. It looks familiar enough," He says looking it over again himself. He wishes he could name things to point them out. "The Outlands isn't really earth. It's a completely different dimension that just sort or overlaps sometimes. There's a lot in there that isn't the same. Space, time, the plants and animals. It's all really different."
He's never spoken of the Outlands like this before. It was always a point of fear. But, in retrospect and with distance, there had been some good to it.
no subject
"Does that mean it has it's own stars? And planets too?" Could they get to visit those someday?
no subject
"I don't know," He admits. "It could be an illusion or some kind of extension of the land, or it really could be stars and planets. I'm not sure anyone's ever been able to arrange any kind of magical space expedition. It's hard enough to map the outlands with it changing so much."
He turns a grin on her. "Maybe that will be in your lifetime."
