Network, 7/15
[Shit, this is something she's not sure on how it's going to go, which is exactly why she's remaining on text so she can make sure it's... something.] Yeah, I know, you're all probably sick of me making network posts at this point. I get it.
But I've got some shit to say so maybe hear me out for a minute or something? I dunno, I'm not your parent and can't make you do shit.
So, like, I've fucked up. A lot. Around here. Hell, not even just here, but that's a story for another time entirely. Went... or well, been going through some shit, know that doesn't excuse jackshit but I'm willing to at least try to explain in private if you want the actual reason for that shit. But, uh, yeah. Shit's been out of line and I'm kinda trying to fix it? It's... you know, a process, so it's sure as fuck not gonna be overnight, but I'm fuckin' trying here.
Take it or leave it, I don't expect anyone to do anything, that's up to you or whatever. Also, uh, wouldn't mind looking for an actual sparring partner if someone would be down for that. Either straight up hand-to-hand without adding anything or with enhanced shit if you don't mind Stone Free's extra bit of power.
Legionnaire Quarters
Most probably would have expected to find Jolyne over at the Mythril Cage instead of here, but she's been kind of missing just being left alone and able to be in the water. The beach is going to be crowded and she's not too interested in dealing with people there that are just hanging about.
She's not too hard to find since she's just using the pool for what just doing laps and she sure doesn't seem to notice anyone around unless they want to make their presence known. Her familiar is nowhere to be seen at this point and she's actually wearing something pretty damn modest for her. A rarity, certainly.
Lum 203, closed to Toki, 7/23
How the hell she found out this quickly that Toki was back on campus is mostly questionable, but between her trying to figure her own shit out and wanting to see how he was doing, it was inevitable that she'd end up in front of this door. Again.
For an entirely different reason than the last time.
Taking a deep breath she lightly knocks on the door, shifting her weight between her feet in a small bit of a nervous habit. Something she hadn't really noticed before but it'd been happening far more frequently now that she'd intended for it to.
Where this conversation would go, she wasn't too sure, but it was better to get some things finally said than actually gingerly dance out of the way of them and be as vague as possible.

Maverick said he was doing good, but that opinion will likely go downhill once he knows about about Jolyne.
"I won't make him mad, really. I won't mention his hair at all if you don't want me too. I can laugh internally~!"
It's technically still not a promise.

She's huffing softly again and stealing a kiss just to be an ass and because she can. "Seriously, Toki, I'm not joking with you. If you piss him off like that, you're on your own in dealing with it. He's got years more of experience with his familiar than I do, so shit will hurt a hell of a lot more."

Also she just realized.
"... Maybe we should move the chair and tie since nothing's happening now, then?"

Goddammit, give her a second to get her willpower together. Right, off. She's finally pushing herself off of him and leaning against the desk to wait.
"Don't wanna be an inconvenience when I don't have to be."
no subject
"Did I do something? No! Wait. That's not- it's not productive. I apologize if-no, that I made you feel like an inconvenience. That was not my intention, and it doesn't matter what my intentions were, so nevermind. I uhh..."
What did he say? What happened?
no subject
"I'm nowhere near upset at you."

Nothing is going as well as he thought it would when he got back. He removes the chair from in front of the door and opens it to take Yuya's tie back. Jolyne doesn't look like she's planning to go anywhere, so he slides the chair back next to the other one.

She's horrible.

"Not gonna lie, you're more comfortable than the chair."
cw: blood/cutting
He disagrees. He's bony and the chairs are nice.
"I-"
Whatever he was going to say is lost, and he stares blankly somewhere near Jolyne's chest...
Blood, dripping down his arms and chest. There's a knife in his hand, and he's cutting patterns into his arm with it. The blood is rainbow and glowing. A hum of fluorescent lights and a woman standing in a corridor in front of him. Brown hair, a pink shirt, and a necklace with a glowing stone. She smiles and holds up her hand. She has the bloody knife. She flickers in and out like an apparition, then disappears entirely. Now he's looking into a mirror, but the reflection is not him. It's an older man; the same one that burned in another vision. The patterns carved are runes.
...Toki quickly checks his arms for carvings, but there's nothing there. He can still feel them; a dull warm pain and the sharp sting of one he'd been carving last.

And there it is, the checking.
"Guessing it had something to do with your arms?" She has no idea and she's honestly glad she isn't remotely near being a seer as this shit just seems absolutely exhausting.
Is she worried? Absolutely, she is every damn time this sort of thing happens.

He hates visions so much. He's not even sure why he's writing them down anymore, because no one will see them. They will see only the end result when he's finally painted it and left it in the theatre. He can't spread impending doom and unconfirmed theories that may just be hallucinations.

In reality, she should probably just leave since this has all become such a derailment from before. Yet something is telling her she really shouldn't, not yet, and she can't quite shake that feeling.
"Also, uh, would you like me to leave now so you can do that, or...? Either way is fine with me, so don't think I'm pressuring you or something."
no subject
"Could," he hates saying it. "Could you leave? I want to go and paint this one, because it's- there's symbols and I don't want to wait too long. I forget things."
no subject
"Y-yeah, that's fine. You know where to find me and even outside of my dorm it's pretty easy to know where I am. Don't do something stupid while I'm gone." With that she's moving for the door and mulling over some stuff in her head.
Maybe it's about time she kept some notes of her own for whenever she felt like talking to someone again. For the best.
