Who: Peter Parker + you!
What: Various open prompts.
Where: Aube, STARR Club HQ and Soleil
When: The week after zombie mission and Gwen's arrival.
Warnings: None anticipated!
Fixer-Upper (Aube Floor 3)
[ Multiple midnight dumpster runs later, Peter finally has a decent collection of stuff to work on here. The common room on the third floor of Aube has been temporarily taken over by junk and tools, which have been loosely sorted into different piles. Here's a bunch of electronic parts. Here's some casings that seem mostly intact. These are screens, that appears to be a pile of ancient game console tidbits... The biggest item is an old CRT TV that is just wrecked. But - it's not what he's working on right this second. No, he seems to be focused on multiple funny-looking bracelets laid out on a cloth. He's had at least three requests for webshooters by now, and he aims to get them done today. Also, finally fix the one that Kano busted.
See what he's up to? Yell at him for taking up all the space? Or maybe if you ask him nicely, he'll build something fun for you.
In this prompt (as well as all of the others!) Peter has a fresh set of claw marks on his face. The cuts are clean and healing nicely, but obviously very fresh. Someone ran into something nasty lately. ]
STARR Club
[ Who the hell was dumb enough to let Peter start a club again? Oh wait, this is technically Gohan's fault probably. Though honestly, it's safer than just letting all these technically inclined idiots blow up their dorm room or something.
The STARR Club (Science, Technology And Runes/Robotics) was technically up and running in the first few days of school. Pete's definitely been in and out doing stuff. But now? It's officially, definitely open, and Peter is heading up the first meeting. He's. Frankly a bit overwhelmed? Please someone else take this over so he can go back to making webshooters in the corner like he actually wants to do. ]
So uh - I guess we need rules? Or something? To be official.
[ He has a whiteboard set up, on which he already has a helpful list started:
Annnd that's it. ]
Soleil, Returning Late
[ Of course that just covers the daytime activities. At night ... Peter tries to sleep, he really does, but inevitably he wakes up at some point and just needs to leave. Swing out to Soleil, get some fresh air come back at an ungodly hour, whatever. Today he's donned his hobo spider suit to go foil some midnight muggings in the local town. He's also taking a swing through campus too, so maybe you see this mysterious Spider-Man out and about?
Or, perhaps worse, you catch him just as he's sneaking back into Aube at 3 AM. The suit is tucked away, but he definitely is sneaking through the hallways up to his room, trying not to look guilty. ]
Spider Astronomy - CLOSEDish
[ Whose idea was this again? It doesn't really matter, honestly; Peter would have been up here regardless and the other two spider kids are nerdy enough this likely appealed to them too. Early in the morning of January 21st, Peter sneaks his way up to the roof of the Aube dorms, carrying a duffel bag full of junk with him. It's cold, as always, but the night is clear, and they have a perfect view of the moon. Pete's here to set up some blankets, put together the world's worst telescope, and watch the lunar eclipse with Gwen and Miles. He's even gotten a couple thermoses full of hot soup from the kitchen. ]
D'you think the faculty does some kind of weird blood moon ritual or something for this?
[ It wouldn't surprise him, honestly. This place is weird enough already.
Of course if you're up on the roof at about the same time (doing the same thing, maybe!) it wouldn't be hard to run into the trio. ]

katoptron if you want me to write up a starter just for you! Otherwise all prompts are OTA. Will match format. ))

And, as tired as Peter looked, he didn't look like someone who'd been lying in a ditch for three hours.

"Well it wasn't that," he admits. What should he actually say? The whole reason why he'd not even considered leaving Bumblebee notes is because he didn't want to make it obvious he's Spider-Man. Despite it already being obvious he's Spider-Man. "Why do you care anyway? I can take care of myself."
no subject
"Taking care of yourself means being responsible. You were responsible for telling me where you were going to be after midnight, and you didn't. Which is why you're not going to be allowed out after midnight for next month."
no subject
That doesn't stop him from jolting at the proposed punishment. "What? A month? Are you serious?" He's probably not going to listen anyway, but the very thought of being grounded for a month is just insulting. "You can't do that!"
no subject
And he would be checking. If Peter did manage to keep from sneaking out over the next two weeks, Bee would seriously consider letting him off, but that was something for two weeks from now.
no subject
"I didn't think you were actually gonna enforce it," he grumbles, by way of acceptance. If Imelda can ban music, then this guy can probably give Peter a curfew, yeah. "How'd you even know I was gone?"
Please tell him so he can avoid you next time.
no subject
The real answer was that he'd still been awake when Peter had come back and had seen him coming through his window.
no subject
"I will. If you move." He shifts back and forth, heaving his backpack up onto his shoulders; it clunks suspiciously. "But - look, I can't help it. I wake up every night whether I've got a curfew or not. This is the only way I get back to sleep."
For what little sleep he actually gets after 3 AM.
no subject
"For the record, I would've been fine with you fighting muggers if you'd just told me beforehand."
He hadn't been 100% sure the person who'd been doing that had been Peter until tonight, but in retrospect it was pretty obvious.
no subject
"I did it at home all the time," he says with a sigh. "New York was a little bigger obviously."
But Soleil still needs help sometimes.
no subject
"Two weeks. If you can keep from breaking the rules again. Otherwise it's back to a month."
no subject
"Fine," he grumbles. "Do I have to stay in my room too? Or can I at least come out to the common room?"
Those nightmares can't be grounded, alas.
no subject
It wasn't like he was planning to lock him in there all night.
no subject
“Building privileges, okay,” he says, with a minimum eye roll. Also a pause. “How old are you anyway?”
He’s pretty sure you’re only technically an adult okay.
no subject
He was young for an RA, but there'd been reasons for it. Mostly the same reasons that had led to him being a ranking officer in the Autobots. Admittedly the lowest rank he could have and still be allowed to give people orders, but again, he was still allowed to give people orders.
no subject
“Why’d you even wanna do it then?” he asks. “Did they make you?”
no subject
"Besides, I felt kind of obligated. I grew up around magic. I've had my whole life to prepare for this. Not everybody gets that. If there's anything I can do make the transition easier, or at least safer for anybody who's new to it all, then I should do that."
no subject
But it's the second one that really makes him pause. Turning back towards him, now leaning against the doorframe to his room. "Seriously? When'd you start doing this rune stuff?"
no subject
Nothing big back then, just more or less stuff like the science kits in craft stores.
"I started going here when I was eleven, started training with the Autobots and building the armor when I was 14. And I finally got to use the armor and go on missions with them when I was 16."
no subject
“I did my first missions at fifteen,” he says. “Uh, though I turned sixteen like a week later.” So. Close enough. Bee clearly has been doing this way longer than he has, but they also sort of got started at the same time? ish. “How’d you get involved with em when you were eleven? Were you family or something?”
Despite the fact that this conversation started with Bee disciplining him, he can’t help but be fascinated.
no subject
He'd mentioned his great grandfather during the floor meeting, but it was understandable that Peter had forgotten that particular detail.
no subject
"Whoa. That's awesome," he says, his eyes bright. "I didn't even know giant robots were involved in WWII."
