WHAT: LATE NIGHT GAME PARTY. TRUTH OR DARE OR TRIPLE DOG STARE.
WARNINGS: HIJINKS. Language, kids doing stupid things for fun, possible light age-appropriate sexual content, but it should be warned for (keep it PG13 and below!)

Join us for Truth or Dare in the communal lounge of Aube Floor 1.
Food and drinks will be provided, but there's always room for more.
Fun starts @ 8PM. Later you are, the harder the dares.

Anyone who decides to join in on the fun will find the communal lounge set up with couches, chairs, and tables placed around the edges, to make the center of the room open for people to move through. Subs, chips, a fruit and cheese platter, and unopened cans and bottles of soda and water on their own separate table. On another table is two unused fishbowls with strips of paper and pens next to them. On one fishbowl is written: Put name in bowl.

Sarona is going to wait until eight o'clock on the dot to start.

"So here's the rules. You ask 'Truth or Dare?' They answer 'Dare' or 'Truth.' Don't come up with anything that'll get the RAs on us, okay? You get one refusal, that's it. Otherwise you agreed to be here and you agreed to the game, don't chicken out on us."

And then she grabs the fish bowl and holds it up for everyone to see. "If you don't know who to pick when it's your turn, pick a name out of the jar. If you only call on your friends and/or enemies, you'll have to pick a name out of the jar. No breaking off into little groups. That's boring."

She sets it down and then gives a little grin, "Now let the fun begin."

[They were really gross by the time they... tried... and probably weren't sanitary to eat after being smacked around the first floor. So he supposes she was also just trying to help wrangle them in.

Yuya nods.] Maybe you should buy frozen crickets to eat next time. Mm, I pick dare this time!

[ Sanitation never stopped the two of them from sticking squashed crickets inside crepes, but it's true that the original plan wouldn't have cared whether the crickets were frozen or squashed or dead to begin with. But buying a box of live crickets just isn't as exciting of ordering live animals off the internet.

Apparently Yuya has to die later, so he gets to die now. ]

I dare you to hold your breath for five minutes.

[Yuya is innocent and didn't know Kano and Toki were developing a grudge.]

Uh--[Yuya's no science expert but he's done a lot of swimming and he's pretty sure five minutes is physically impossible?] What if I can't?

Haha, come on, I believe in you! Don't give up so easily, Yuya!! When faced with something seemingly impossible, you just gotta think your way around it, don't you? Go on, go on, think about the dare for a bit~ You'll find a way!

[ It's not impossible. ]

I guess... [Yuya hesitates, before sitting up straighter and taking the biggest breath he can before holding it.

He manages close to a minute before he coughs for air. The second attempt is closer to 40 seconds. The third, a minute.

But on his own, he's definitely not going to get close five minutes in one sitting.]

[ Kano waits patiently for Yuya to try again and again, offering no help or further suggestion than what he'd already given him. STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT, YUYA. This doesn't look to him like thinking. ]

[Yuya barely has two brain cells to rub together.

But he stops, resting his cheek on his hand and staring dully at Kano for a minute.]

... I don't have to do it all at once, do I?

[suddenlybees]

Ding ding ding~! You got it! But I'm happy to see that you put in the effort- that says a lot about you!

[ Whether that's good things or bad things... either way, it says a lot. ]

[hippocarnival]

[Dull staring. And then Yuya blinks rapidly and perks up!] Wait, I don't have to do it all at once!

[He's straightforward more than literal, but now that the reality of the task is in a different light he's more energized.] Okay that was halfway, right?

[suddenlybees]

Yep, yep~ Two and a half minutes to go~ You can do it!!

[ He claps for him, cheering on in this task that doesn't require any cheering, but. It never hurts. ]

[hippocarnival]

Okay, I've got it this time! [He sucks in a large breath and goss again.

It takes four more attempts, with Yuya being more careful with timing himself, to complete the other two and a half minutes. The constant succession of not breathing leaves him just a little light headed, but he grins triumphantly when it's done.] Ta-da!

[ There's more clapping on Kano's part, complete with a fist in the air and a ] Whoo~!! Amazing performance!! [ once Yuya completes the task. ]

See, that's what I like about you! The effort you put into everything~ Instead of just sitting here and breathing normally for ten minutes, to make up the last two~ How efficient!

[Yuya laughs, rubbing the back of his neck.] I think some of the teachers would argue I don't put it into everything...

[His grades, slipping away...] But if you're going to ask me to do something, even for a game, I should try my best, right?

Haha, is that how it is? Because it's just a game, because it's just for fun, I'd thought people would put less effort into something that doesn't matter. But you would try your best for anything I ask of you?

[ That's dangerous, Yuya. Don't do that. ]

[Yuya shrugs a shoulder.] Fun does matter to me. I'd definitely try if it meant we could smile more and make an even better memory.

[They're all be tutored to put their lives on the line, is the darker part Yuya doesn't quite verbalize. They deserve to be able to make this much happiness for themselves.]

Okay, truth or dare?

[ Memories don't really matter much to Kano, but happiness in the moment definitely does, and that's a philosophy he can get behind. ]

Tonight's a rare opportunity I do this, so~ One more truth, before I turn in for the night!

Just one more? That means it has to be a good question... [Yuya props his chin on his hand.]

What's your favorite thing about each or your sisters?

Hitting me with the hard questions!!

[ It's an easy question, but simultaneously so hard, because how's he supposed to pick just one thing? ]

Hmm... Before I say anything, you gotta promise not to tell either of them, alright? I'll find out if you do!!

[Yuya puts a finger to his mouth.] Pinky promise not to.

[suddenlybees]

[ Kano will make good of that and hook his pinky with Yuya's-- this is also a not-so-subtle warning that he can and will snap off this pinky if Yuya says a word to either of the girls.

He goes as far as to lean in and whisper into Yuya's ears this truth that must never be repeated: ]

Minako is my rock. Ellie is my sun. That's how it is.

[Yuya feels the slight pressure on his finger, and that with Kano leaning in makes him pause briefly in a hesitant curiosity. Not that he's worried about what Kano's about to do. He just isn't sure what's coming next.

He tilts his head slightly when Kano finishes, a grin slowly spreading across his face.]

Is Kano secretly shy? [There's a little bit of teasing in his voice, but it smooths out as he continues. Having feelings you can't say is something he can empathize with, though the context of his is different.] I get it. You must be very lucky with them as sisters, right?

[ He grins and leans back to get out of Yuya's face, raising his voice back to its usual boisterous volume, ]

But don't you know? I'm super super shy~ It takes a lot to get out here like this!!

You won't be too shy for the stage, right? Unless you're just writing the script?

[Who's going to stop Kano from writing, directing, and acting out his dreams?

Tyzias, maybe.]

[ Tyzias is going to try her best, and so will Kano because he thinks memes are the best. ]

That depends on everybody else in the club! I don't mind sharing the spotlight, or just being a stage ninja~ What about you? Want to play the demon? Or maybe you're gunning for the part of Beetrice?

[The drama club is about to be casualty to a war.]

I think you should try! But I'm definitely going for the lead part. [He's skimmed the story. He's pretty sure it's a joke but he can work with comedy, with a little polishing he thinks they can make it legit.] Is that Beetrice? I've never played a girl...
