Arrival

[Sometime in the morning, a motorcycle speeds towards Daybreak's gates, coming to a stop right outside. The boy on it is wearing some of the darkest blacks known to man, and a motorcycle helmet. He takes the helmet off and looks up at the school.]

Daybreak Academy, huh? Can they really tell me what I want to know? What's your goal here, Ovan?

Getting familiar

[Haseo's looking around the grounds, not talking to anyone. He won't move out of anyone's way, and you won't get so much as a "my bad" if he bumps into you.]

I'll just get this out of the way now. If any of you know anything about Tri-Edge, tell me. It doesn't matter what it is, so long as it's useful.

The daemon? I've heard rumours, but largely what everybody knows. That it spends its time fighting other daemons. Maybe it's trying to become the strongest?

Not just Daemons. I know everyone says it doesn't attack humans, but I've got first hand knowledge otherwise.

If a daemon changes its habits that quickly, that's cause for concern. You fought it and lived?

Only because it thought I was as good as dead anyway. I was bleeding out and couldn't move, so I wasn't exactly much of a threat at that point.

I don't know why it would attack you, but whatever reason it had, that means it's a risk to the human population now. That's something to take seriously. I'll see
if anyone has seen it, though I am sure you've done that as well.

Just make sure no hunters go after it. Tri-Edge is mine.

I can understand a sense of responsibility, but that kind of mentality is what gets people hurt. If you worry about... what is it the gaming club called it? Kill-stealing? You leave more open to be hurt like yourself, and you may get carried away as well.

Tri-Edge... there's a name I haven't heard in some time. You're referring to the daemon, correct?

Yeah, that's right. What do you know about it?

Not as much as I'd like, beyond the rumors, but I'm sure you're largely tired of hearing those. I recall something about a conflict with a group of daemon lords, however.

[Actually, note to self, do some more research, this is going to bug him now.]

Was there any particular reason you wanted to know?

Tri-Edge killed one of my teammates. I don't know why it attacked us, and I don't care. All I need to know is how to take it down.

[Jun can think of no greater insult. He swished his jacket out behind him like the arrogant motherfucker he is as he turned his back on Haseo to go on his way.]

Without really thinking about it, Jun twitched his fingers and pulled a single thread of almost imperceptible light into being, across the hall way in front of Haseo, at ankle height.]

[He seems to fall for it, but pulls back the moment he feels pressure on his leg. He then spots the beam, and deliberately steps over it.]
