Who: Hieke & open!
When: September
Where: The infirmary, the faculty lounge, elsewhere
What: The school year is starting, which means it's time for physicals! Also, free food for the staff.
Warnings: There might be some references to injuries and other traumas in the physicals, but nothing major.
the infirmary;
[It's the start of a new month, and the start of the new school year. Everyone - student and staff alike - will receive notice that they're due for a new physical, so if they could please report to the infirmary at their earliest convenience, that would be appreciated. They can try to avoid their physicals, but that just means being hunted down by Ekkehardt, and nobody wants that, now do they?
Arriving to the infirmary will find it's been redecorated for the fall. Gone are the vibrant Outlands flowers, and in are some pots of what look to be...mushrooms? And some tiny pumpkins. Hieke's trying his best, okay.
The daemon is there, like always, and he looks up whenever anyone enters and motions for them to step into a small room that...doesn't seem to have been there before?]
This won't take long.
the lounge;
[Hieke is someone who makes good on his challenges. He said he could make better food than what was served to them at the meetings, and he's going to make good on that. So, come September, staff will find the lounge has been stocked with all manners of treats, ranging from sweet to savory. All of them are expertly crafted with the sort of quality that can only come with dedicating your entire life to learning how to cook, and having that life span centuries.
Or, for the tl;dr version, it's all really fucking good.]
I told you it would be better, didn't I?
[Hieke doesn't often seem smug - hell, he barely seems confident, but this has brought out his stubbornness.]
elsewhere;
[Hieke is generally always available, and can be found at other places around campus. He still frequents the library and can occasionally be found walking his mushrooms at night. Generally, if you need him, he's there.
This is also the wildcard prompt.]

She's not aware that the room hadn't been there before, so its existence doesn't get any noticeable response out of her.]

[He claps his hands together.]
This is going to be a pretty simple affair - I'm going to scan your general physical condition, and you'll be on your way. It shouldn't take more than a couple seconds.
[Mainly because as he's talking, he's already scanning for her, looking for anything that would be classified as abnormal or strange.]

Hieke~! Hello! I brought you something~!
[It's another painting of mushrooms. Toki frowns a little at the appearance of the new room, but doesn't say anything, because it could have been there all along and he never noticed it.]
no subject
[He looks at the painting, before reaching out to take it. He's a little surprised by it, but...
He'll take it.]
Do you have time to do your physical?
[You can never be sure with Toki.]

But the problem is they had work they had to do at the school itself that they can't do in their apartment and staying in their office leaves them as a sitting duck for one of the staff to poke in. And more importantly they can't go into the library if they stay cooped up.
Dilemma. But if they're careful then maybe they'll have a chance of getting and out quickly.
At least until they see Ekkehardt round the corner and they promptly try to backtrack the way they came. Sorry, they forgot something in their office, be right back!]

...Though depending on things, he may realize he doesn't have to. As much as Charlotte is determined to avoid going in, ducking out of sight and dodging what faculty she can, Ekkehardt might be one of the ones that can more easily ping her as an undead construct, rather than a little girl or a vampire or whatever lie she felt like perpetuating that week. There's a lot of willpower in this one, but in the end she's still a golem, and golems are designed to obey.
So what'll it be when you set your sockets on the fifteen-year-old apparently allergic to color, Ekke?]

In the end, though, the rational answer gives way to the unreasonable fact he just does not want to do this. If he's caught, he can just pull the New Kid card and say he didn't know he had to, right?
So Therion lies low, and when he runs out of the things that could conceivably keep a new student busy, he carefully slides a subtle glamour over himself. As he huddles in the computer lab, all bundled up in his hoodie, it's hard to notice him there at all.]

I heard about the physicals. I don't need one. I have a doctor back home, whole family of them. [A family who hates and/or barely knows about him. He looks up then.]
I'm guessing you're the guy they're sending? Or is it something else? The school come to its senses?

Honestly, this time though it's less a conscious choice and more he forgets everything when he's working on stuff sometimes. Everyday concerns don't seem important when you're coming one step closer to understanding how the universe works. So Ekke can find him in the Forge, floating cross-legged amidst some mechanical components that are equally defying gravity. An exploded-view drawing in the real world. He's slowly rotating vertically, like his head is heavier than the rest of him, a finger on his beauty mark to signify he's thinking those mind consuming questions that put him in his own world. There could be another Grimm attack, and it'd take him a minute to stop what he's doing.
It's why he's got a proximity alarm. All it does is turn off the music coming out of the speakers on his workbench. That's a surefire way to wake him up and his head snaps around to find the cause, though he stays upside down in mid-air. ]
...What did I do this time?
[ Their relationship might be a bit better, but that's still where he goes first with Ekke. ]

But he's definitely not coming in of his own volition. Unfortunately, he has no idea Who Ekkehardt is - so he's in his office, looking up with a quiet blink as the man enters (and the sensation of spiderwebs hits the other in the face, like he's walked directly into a web).]

So instead, what happens when she shows up is Hieke looks up at her, turns to rifle through a stack of papers, before finding the right one and grabbing a pen.]
Alright, so, we can't do this the standard way, so instead what we're going to do is ask some questions. Well. Question. Just the one.
If a fight were to occur anytime in the near future, do you feel fit to join it?

'Sup, Doc.
[It's...weird, now. Especially considering nothing of their time in Japan has been threaded, so who knows just how grateful and ashamed Maverick really has to be? No matter what, though, it's certainly true that gratefulness and shame are in a healthy...unhealthy? supply. So: help rescue someone's stupid jackass of a boyfriend, get him showing up without complaint for physicals or maybe a magic lesson. Either way, 'sup.]
no subject
The boy just keeps surprising him.]
Hello.
[He stands from the desk, motioning towards the newly appeared room.]
Let's get this over with, huh?

She's yawning as she's wandering in, stretching her arms above her head for a brief second to try and get her blood moving.]
So how's this shit work? Like last time I dealt with one, it involved all kinds of not pleasant taking things off, kinda hoping that's not the case here. [She could still do that, but they have magic, why not use it?]
'Sides, other than the lasting scars and shit, pretty sure I'm fine.
no subject
[He's at his desk, going through a stack of paperwork - presumably student files, if the way he stops and pulls a sheet out of the stack is any indication.]
It's a simple, magical scan, looking for any injuries or illnesses that might need to be addressed. Scars and things like that are irrelevant.

Hieke nods his head towards the door, gathering a file from his desk.]
It should be quick.
Library
...until she found out he was actually a daemon.
Even though Desco isn't exactly a fan of daemons, despite being one herself, this alone isn't the problem. Valvatorez was a daemon and Professor Atchison was probably one, too. Both weren't exactly paragons of virtue, either. Of course, in Avery's case, that was a good thing, but the situation with Hieke was different. He hid being a daemon. She's not dumb enough to believe that was enough to prove him guilty of being the kind of daemon she was out to stop, but she's also not going to rule out the possibility that he's up to something.
Over the past couple of days, Hieke might have gotten a feeling that he was being watched or followed. Today, in the library, is one such day. Although it doesn't seem like anyone is around, there is a suspicious looking fort crafted out of books a good distance away from his usual spot. A slot has been made into one of the walls, almost as if someone was using it to spy on people.]
no subject
He notices the feeling of being followed immediately, and he...initially doesn't think much of it. He's used to being distrusted, after all. It comes with the territory.
The fort is a little far, though.
He stares at the pile of books, at the place where the slot is facing, and he hesitates for a moment before clearing his throat.]
Is someone in there?
