Cake Time! (Oct. 10th, Closed to Hieke)
[Reira's birthday... according to the files he's seen, it's coming up within a couple of days. Of course he's going to try to do something for her, and... well, he's got an idea, at least, for what can be done for the cake. When he thinks back to that one meeting...]

Hieke, may I ask you a favor?

An Invitation (Oct. 10th, UN: Ahania)
[And now the next part of his plan... Well, that's when he encounters a bit of a problem: he actually has no idea who Reira's friends are at this school. So... network it is.]

For those of you that are friends with Reira, her birthday is on the 12th. There will be a small get-together on floor three of the Lumière dorm for those who wish to celebrate with her.

Party Like It's Your Birthday (Oct. 12th)
[It... is in fact a small get-together, set up in the common room of Lum's third floor (though hopefully not spilling into any pumpkin carving going on that day). There's a cake, some soda, and V there with Reira. Come tell the birthday girl happy birthday!

OOC: Feel free to treat this as a general mingle prompt! V will be around to interact with people, but most of the focus is supposed to be on Reira since it's her birthday!!]

And Back to the Books
[Throughout the month, when birthday preparations aren't being made, V's mostly going to be found in his main haunt around the school--the library. He's largely focused on his reading or gathering books to go back to reading, but he'll greet anyone who approaches him.]

OTA PARTY TIME!!

[Birthday?? Birthday. Reira's never experienced a birthday. She's vaguely, of course, heard about them by this point but somehow it didn't occur to her that a birthday is in fact what she could Have.

It's all quite the shock and she's sort of been looking at everything in a daze of wonder as she goes. It's not even that much to take in. She has good cake. She has good sugary fizz soda drink. There are even, visitors willing, presents and if someone hands her something and is ok with it she absolutely Will open it right there.

She's sort of holding the Moonsprite like a security blanket if such blankets were the size of a small dog and resembled rabbit moths, but that's easy to ignore, maybe.]

[V smiles a bit and lets his hand rest on Reira's head.]

Happy birthday, Reira. I have a gift for you as well.

I didn't know there was going to be cake... [Or a party. But.

...Wait what.] ...You do?

Hieke helped me bake it. I wanted it to be a surprise.

[He smiles, before taking a package out of his coat. He kneels down to Reira's level before opening it, revealing a pair of hairclips.]

Here. [...] Would you like me to put one on you?

[Woah...

The news about the cake- which is delicious cake, she really likes it, thank you V and thank you Hieke- fades into the background for Reira for a bit, because she's presently rather distracted by the clips. They're very pretty, but more importantly, well.]

They're moons... [Little moons..! For her hair, even?] Umn- yeah. I don't know where they're supposed to go except in hair... [Help, therefore, would be appreciated.]

[He nods, before taking the gold clip of the pair and gently putting it in Reira's hair.]

Mmmh...! [She certainly seems excited enough, bouncing a little bit once it's officially in.

She can't see it.] ...What does it look like?

[After glancing around for whatever's close enough and relatively reflective, V picks up something... sufficiently so in lieu of a mirror and holds it up so Reira can see her reflection.]

[Awesome. She'll just tilt her head until she sees it- at which point, a rather large, if not rare smile appears.]

...Oh..! ...It's even shinier now...

[Not really but it Feels like it is.]

[V smiles warmly, putting the reflective thing back down and wrapping his arms around the girl in a hug.]

[A hug!!! She can do hugs. V is getting a nice hug back then- if this is what birthdays mean, she thinks she likes them.

[He's flat broke and likely to stay that way. Who's going to give a bird an allowance? So he did the only thing he could do and... picked some flowers, going human long enough to tie them together with a ribbon. He knows nothing about flowers and symbology, they're just a random assortment he happened to think looked nice. But they're fresh, clean, and pest-free!

He lands on the back of a chair with the flowers carefully carried by the stems in his beak.]

< Hi. Yep. I thought you might like these...? >

[Someone get this bird an allowance, stat!

As it is, these are very nice flowers, and hopefully fresh enough that Reira can take the cuttings and re-pot them somehow. The flower sprite will probably help, and in fact it mists off from its bracelet form to stare at them quizzically as Reira eyes them with absolute wonder.

At least, it might be wonder. It could also just be happiness, but without a full smile since she still has the tendency to forget one can do that.

[He never smiles, he gets it. That's more awe than he was expecting for a mere bundle of wild flowers. He drops them on the seat of the chair so she can actually pick them up!]

Hey wait a minute. Reira pauses while she picks up the flowers, looking around at the refreshments and things.] ...

Do you want a mouse?

Oh! You already ate stuff...

[It flew overhead...] I guess there's not a lot here then...mostly it's just food, and reading on the couch...

[To be fair the party was meant to be relatively come-and-go given how Reira tends to be.]

...I'm still learning what's fun. [Reira that just sounds very sad.] There's lots of things, so I'm trying them all. [That's worse Reira.]

Mostly I was going to see what else happens. [That....that only partly makes sense.] Some people brought me things before you did, and I want to see if more things come.

I've never had a birthday, so I didn't know they had games...

Um! ...The sprites do things through me, and I let them...I'm trying to learn to just use their magic stuff to do the same thing though. Like how wind can make wind...

The sprites are my bracelets... [She holds them up. Tobias might recall that one of these became something during that whole deal with the owl.] ...They're supposed to keep me safe. So when dangerous stuff happens, they take over and run away.

But if I have to fight something, then I shouldn't run, so I have to make sure they listen now.

[Basically they're very very incredible babysitters.]
