time for birb

Who: Vivi and you!
What: Vivi finally gets out of his room. And he's got a new....friend in tow?? (It's a chocobo)
Where: Around campus!
When: Early June
Warnings: Shouldn't be any. I'll match your format!

A. Egg

[ Vivi has been dutifully going to classes and really not much else for the past month, and staying in his room the rest of the time. But around early June, when the weather is well and truly warmed up, you can see him trundling across campus determinedly with a well-swaddled bundle. The sled he'd used for Jailbreak's class a few months back has been repurposed to hold this vaguely spherical burden.

What is it? What is it for? It's a mystery, at least if you don't just ask him about it. He can be found towing it everywhere, and anxiously checking on it.
]

B. Chicken(???)

[ About a week in, the sled has stopped containing a bundle of blankets, and now contains a nest. Vivi is still dragging it around and anxiously checking on its wellbeing, but the creature within seems far more active.

This is because it's a fluffy little bird of some kind. It seems to be enjoying the sun, at least, and the amount of freedom it has, though its rapid, urgent chirping and peeping at various points of the day indicate that it's almost constantly hungry, and is probably a major source of Vivi's visible anxiety.

If Vivi knows you, he might ask you for tips on bird or pet care, completely unprompted. He's doing his best.

C. Wildcard

[ Anything else? ]

Oh! I see- I, the man Gongenzaka, was wondering about that...

Was it especially difficult? It appears you have a rather delicate thing to carry with it.

Runic work is indeed quite useful for that sort of thing...but you were wise to consider softening the journey! And quite thoughtful, beyond that. [Apparently his friend agrees with that pride!]

Exactly how long do you expect it to take before hatching..?

That is quite vague...

How long have you been caring for it?

Hmmm. A week does not seem a very long time for an egg to hatch, but with the time between now and laying...

...Well, it may be soon that it hatches then with that in mind. At the very least, for your sake, I hope it does!
