[The infirmary has seen a lot in the first month of the quarter alone - friends were born here and eventually taken away, people have been sick and injured and that's not even including the injuries people didn't go to the infirmary for. But come February, Hieke is a little bit more prepared for things. The infirmary is kept as tidy as ever, and he's even decorated for the holiday!

There are vases filled with flowers on his desk, and he's awkwardly taped some heart shaped decor to the wall. There was an attempt and that accounts for everything, even if he doesn't know anything about Valentine's Day.

However, the infirmary isn't only for the sick or injured. Students taking Hieke's class are more than welcome to stop by to ask for help or ask general questions - there's an office set aside for him, but he spends all of his hours in the infirmary anyways. It's the best place to catch him.]

Good afternoon.

I'm sorry to bother everyone, but I'm looking for something. A mushroom - native to the Outlands - that's not dangerous or anything, just a little mischievous. It managed to find out how to open the windows in my room, and now it's loose and locate and summoning magic were something I never spent much time studying.

It's about a foot tall, with a pale orange cap, so it should be pretty distinct. If you see it, please let me know! And mind the spores.

[Sorry, Imelda. Head injuries are pretty serious - plus maybe Kano should be more careful with his arms. Maybe he needs to learn his lessons.]

I don't know if the ponds are generally hazardous enough to warrant a shuttle.

[After making sure Imelda is stable enough to go back to mending - it's nice, being able to sense that sort of thing through magic - he turns to Kano with a quirk of his eyebrows.]

You're the first patients I've had that have fallen in, after all.

[He settles into a crouch next to Kano, looking him over for a second before reaching out to gently place his hand over his arm.]

[ Kano has to agree with Hieke that Imelda's injuries are more imperative than his own- he wouldn't have even come to the infirmary if it weren't for Imelda's insisting they do, so he isn't really surprised to hear that nobody's else has come to Hieke for falling inside the pool (draw a hot bath to warm yourself up and it solves itself, or something like that).

He waits quietly by the door until Hieke finishes tending to Imelda, unwinding the jacket from around his arm and frowning a bit at how much blood had soaked into the cloth. It's black, but what a pain it'll be to get out of the white parts...

In either case, he looks fine, emphasis on looks, aside from the underside of his arm which starts to weep blood again now that nothing's pressed up against it to keep it in. It's a symbol gouged into his arm that Hieke may or may not recognize, and Kano's hoping he doesn't recognize it: it looks to be a daemon summoning rune, and the daemon it summons is Michael. ]

[She doesn't have the energy to argue with Hieke's priorities, but she does give him a displeased look right up until he focuses on Kano. That said, she does also feel a little better with his tending, her thoughts a little clearer... so maybe it was necessary after all.]

[The comment on them falling in is taken with a wincing admission.] Falling into the pond was my fault. I broke the ice while we were standing on it. [It's not untrue. Even if Kano instructed her to do it, she knew what she was doing. A little bit of extra thought would have told her to wait or put more distance between them and that creature.]

It shouldn't be a problem for anyone else. [Most people aren't going to do something as hasty as that.]
