Who: Yuya, people invited to his birthday
When: March 1
Where: Dresden, Germany
What: Yuya goes on a birthday excursion for with everyone he invited and who also talked their way into an invitation
Warnings: None probably?? Play nice
Yuya spends the few days leading up to the first of March in a barely contained excitement as he plots out how to best use the school's helicopter transport, deliver word of mouth invites, and set a time to celebrate his 15th. Ultimately it's decided that because the trip is a few hours to make it a day event, with the helicopters taking off early and returning late into the night. Sticking with the group is probably advisable, although with so much time it's expected some people will wander. Yuya just wants a day to spend with his friends, instead of doing anything intricate.
The early hours are largely spent touring and window shopping, taking long walks through the markets, sampling food, or appreciating the rich art history on display. There's a lot of museums, parks, and it's the bright clear day. Chilly, though, so hopefully everyone brought jackets.
In the afternoon, they can hitch a ride on one of the paddle streamers along the river Elbe. It's a few hours of tour that takes them by the castles. The tickets aren't too expensive, but if someone can't afford it Yuya will spend some of his own money to spot them the ticket.
After the sun starts to wane and the temperature drop, it's off to warmer places. For those with the cash to spend, there's an opera house they might be able to catch a show at. Otherwise, the plan is to crowd up in some bakery-style restaurant for dinner and cake.
((This is a mingle style log, so feel free to make toplevels and tag each other. It's mostly a loosely planned free for all trip.))

Toki... [He moves to get up from his chair. It seem unfair to convince Toki to come when he has very real concerns about making a scene, and probably being humiliated. It's probably just something that takes time to handle, but... it still doesn't feel good.]
Okay. Then... how about another day we go have some fun in town?
[It doesn't feel good to excluded, either.]

[He opens his desk drawer and retrieves an envelope.]
I wanted you to buy whatever you liked in Germany, instead of getting you a present!
[He hands the envelope to Yuya. There's 500€ inside.]
no subject
Thanks! [He takes the envelope with a nod before starting to open it.] I--eh?
[He stares, pulling the money out. It's five... five hundred...] T-Toki, this is a lot of money! Are you really sure it's okay?!
[He's never had this much in his hands before, what does he do.]
no subject
[He's never had to handle the money, and the academy pays for everything necessary.]
It didn't seem like much in comparison! I mean, I'm not going to miss it!? It's fine, really! G-get something nice!
[He's very confused. Five hundred was pocket change.]
no subject
Oh. The Valentine's gifts, this money... Toki is fucking loaded. Somehow that makes him more nervous, he'a never had a rich friend.]
I-I will! [Yuya bows at the waist, clutching the money tightly.] Thank you so much!
no subject
Is this- is it like way too much!? Because I was going to give you a thousand, but then I thought it should be more in the "extra spending money" range! This is why people were so weird about the gifts, wasn't it!? I bought too expensive things!
[He'd spend nearly four times that much on Seiji and Maya's gifts.]
no subject
Yuya straightens back up.] No, it's okay! I just--my family isn't as wealthy, so it just wasn't expected. But I'm really grateful.
[He's not every going to ask the worth of his dragon statue. He never was, but especially not now.]
no subject
[He feels like he needs to justify having money for some reason. Yuya's far more deserving of wealth.]
Uh, you're welcome~!
no subject
Which is kind of weird to give to a sibling, isn't it? Yuya tilts his head.] She had life insurance?
no subject
Yeah, that's a normal thing to have, isn't it? Life insurance?
no subject
He's about to ask, but thinks better of it when he remembers that's still a recent wound for Toki. There are better ways for them to talk about Ginshu.] She cared a lot about you, didn't she?
no subject
She did.
[At least he doesn't feel like crying every time he thinks about her any more.]
She uh, she was- my guardian, I guess? I mean I didn't think of her that way, because she's my sister, but she got custody of me when I was nine, and she never got married and it was just me and her. At first it was weird because I never like knew her well before then, since she was so much older. She didn't live at home when I was a kid.
no subject
... Do you have a picture of her?
no subject
I do!
[Looking through the albums on his phone, he finds a picture of Ginshu to show Yuya.]
I should have taken a lot more pictures, I guess! But I never really did things like that!
[He hadn't really started taking photos all the time until Kano suggested it. It used to be too much of a hassle and time-consuming, when he'd rather just do things.]
no subject
I guess that's something you don't think about at the time... but this is a very nice one.
at least it's the last one in the queue, cw: gore, blood, organs
She has- had a kind smile~! She would have liked you, Yu-
[The phone slips out of his hand...
The snow is almost too heavy to see through. Blowing with icy winds. Hazy images of the dead trees. They're moving, but not with the wind; moving as if they were sentient. Their branches elongate and reach out like hands, searching for victims in the snow. He walks closer to them. Blood seeps into the top layer of snow in places, slides slowly across the ice in others. There's screaming coming from more than one direction. Branches red on the ends with blood and bits of organs; dangling intestines. One of the trees reaches for him with its skeleton hand branches. He hears the crack of his ribs as the hands enters to chest to rip out his heart. He's lying in the snow, looking up at the trees. The others are still screaming. The girl with the antlers laughs in the background when the closest tree branch holds up a still-beating heart. It's his. The bark of the trees slowly turns to scales, red and yellow like the daemons.
...He screams and presses his hand against his chest, expecting to feel the broken bones and oozing blood and why is he still alive with no heart!? How it can hurt so badly if he's dead!? It was too much, and he's not giving a thought to taking notes this time.]

Yuya moves immediately to brace his hands on Toki's shoulders to keep him upright. Even if it is a vision, it doesn't stop the worry when it happens like this.]
no subject
[He says it as much for himself as for Yuya. Soon, he won't feel it anymore, a minute or so. Toki just needs to breathe and not panic. He's not really succeeding too well. He tries to be logical; trees aren't going to come to life and rip people's organs out, that's stupid. But he's crying about it anyway, because it was so vivid and it still hurts.]
It's okay, Yuya...
no subject
[Yuya shakes his head a little.] Focus on my voice, okay? Breathe. You're right here.
no subject
[He pulls away from Yuya to retrieve his phone from the floor.]
I have to...
[More notes about trees, and now they kill people. He's pretty much ignoring Yuya while he adds another scattered description text file to the mix. So many. Ugh. Okay, now he can pay attention again.]
There's uh, there's something in my desk for you, by the way. For Germany~!
no subject
[He won't push Toki about forgetting things, but it's probably bad to lie about what happened and confuse his reality even further.]
no subject
Buy something nice~!
[He smiles a bit awkwardly; he'd probably said that before, but whatever.]
I should... get back to French things~!
[He sits at his desk and intends to spend the rest of the night studying, of all things. But French isn't too hard, and he doesn't suck, and it's useful. Most importantly, he can focus on it without being distracted by inner thoughts.]
